The Starfleet maps of Gorn space as it was known circa 2261.

Pretty chuffed, I'd imagine.

You know you've got to be living on borrowed time if you live in that corridor between Gorn space and the Klingon Empire.

I’m stating my opinion that I don’t like prequels, especially Star Trek prequels, because I believe they are stifled by what came before. What the showrunners’ plan was has nothing to do with that opinion. If they don’t feel stifled, good for them. I’m making my judgements based on my interpretation of the material.
Only a hack writer gets stifled by canon in sci fi were you have a infinite universe.

You can adhere to a shows continuity and canon yet stull get good stories.

Space is big, really really big and the federation have thousands of ships and trillions of inhabitants. If you cant make a story from that then you are a shit writer.

I quite enjoyed this one! I understand the critiques that it’s a bit rushed, and I can respect the dislike toward the solution (and the bit of deja vu involved therein). But I didn’t personally mind.

“Hegemony, Part II” felt like the climactic, action-packed, back half of a TV feature film. And it never lost its Star Trek heart amid all the explosions. That’s great.

It has THE best Connery Bond soundtrack by far, but man, it just doesn't hold up all that well for me after repeat viewings. On the bright side YOLT is considerably better than DAF and the former doesn't feel like self-parody.

From Russia with Love is better than Dr No.
It absolutely is, though Dr. No is pretty damn good, too.

In the novel series, Dr. No is the immediate sequel to From Russia with Love. It begins with Bond recovering from the events of the previous novel.

But in the film series, From Russia with Love is adapted to be a sequel to Dr. No, not a prequel. If there's any doubt, see the character Sylvia Trench.
