Yeah. But that was in space.
She has the VOY communicator in some of the promo pictures, but not all. It seems the creators were confused as well XD2. They are using more or less the Voy-style uniform for janeway but with the new communicator. Odd. Also I couldn’t see the pips.
Firstly, these races were imprisoned on a mining asteroid. I doubt information of the outside galaxy was so readily given to them. Secondly, there were non-Voyager affiliated humans in the Delta quadrant even during Voyager's run. Anything from abduction to getting caught in a transwarp conduit could explain that. If it can happen to them, it can happen to any Alpha/Beta quadrant species. From there, life... ah... finds a way.If everything indicates that, then what are Alpha Quadrant races doing in the Delta Quadrant only two years after Lower Decks? And Alpha Quadrant races who know nothing about the Federation, to boot?
Slipstream Drive must've taken off after Voyager got home and nothing from 2399-set Picard actually contradicts this as of yet. It's all I've got.If everything indicates that, then what are Alpha Quadrant races doing in the Delta Quadrant only two years after Lower Decks? Plus Lower Decks, despite taking place in 2381, secretly wishes it took place in the 2360s. It doesn't want to be Post-Nemesis, just like Discovery didn't really want to be Pre-TOS. Lower Decks wants to take place during TNG Proper but can't, because then it loses the ability to reference the back-half of the Berman Era.
No one said there isn't more to it, just that them being here isn't far-fetched or unreasonable to the timeline it's in.I’m not buying that. Just the fact that there are Alpha Quadrant races in the Delta Quadrant in what is supposed to be the year 2383, and that they are an integral part of the show and make up half of the main cast is more than just some coincidence or hand-waving away. I think there’s much more going on here than just some prison asteroid miners.
They cane before the Federation. If everything indicates that, then what are Alpha Quadrant races doing in the Delta Quadrant only two years after Lower Decks? And Alpha Quadrant races who know nothing about the Federation, to boot?
Thanks to our ol' pal Dangling Modifier, all that tells us is that Kate Mulgrew is set in 2383.Set in 2383, after Voyager’s triumphant return from the Delta Quadrant, Kate Mulgrew is returning to voice a training hologram of Kathryn Janeway.
Good to know that Kate Mulgrew will live passed 400. I'm modest and have only been aiming for 100... or I'll die trying. Thanks to our ol' pal Dangling Modifier, all that tells us is that Kate Mulgrew is set in 2383.
It doesn't warrant explanation.

I liked it.
Do wish live action was a bit like this. As in seeing that star scene. A bit more granduer epic space scenes would be nice.
Do remember, while you have freedom in amimation, it does cost a lot.. Mainly in time. The food thing, extra render time for nothing, so it's axed.
I've been wondering if the new commbadge is intended to be a less stylised version of the lower decks one. The early 2380s is certainly an odd period for uniforms! The new commbadge as used on the Protostar by Janeway and the kids reminds me heavily of the Red Squad logo.
na, we’re just supposed to believe they look the same. This is kind of mind boggling to me because I thought Disco's modified version of the TOS Enterprise was now canon and that the Enterprise as seen in TOS (looks-wise) is now non-canon. In other words, I thought the Disco Enterprise is how the NCC-1701 was always supposed to look in the prime timeline.
