Because no matter what happened you'd have people upset

"OMG The Enterprise EFG doesn't have a window, how does that make sense?"

"OMG The Enterprise EFG HAS A WINDOW WHAT THE HELL"

    "OMG WHY IS TROI DRIVING?"

Nothing new for them, considering something like half of all admirals in Starfleet Command since its formation has been either evil or insane or both. And that's just the ones not in Section 31.

Then people would be wondering why it didn't crash immediately. She did it both other times at the helm.

Except that in each of those cases there was a clear shift of each character outside their normal behaviour due to external or biological factors that would make a case that they were not in possession of their full faculties.
In Jurati's case it seemed that she knew exactly what she was doing and felt it was necessary at the time based on what had been revealed to her.

The absolute best thing about Picard has been seeing some old faces show up in the weekly threads. Hi, susannah, it's been a while!

I never posted all season because it seems every episode gets 10/10 by default from the majority here and I would...certainly not give any episode that score. But I don't want to be mean and mostly just don't want to debate Star Trek opinions at this point in life so I just don't post. I wish I'd liked it more! The early episodes were good. Loved Picard's Romulan housekeepers. The "sheer fucking hubris" scene in episode two made me think the show could be something special. But these last two episodes have been dire and I just feel a bit sad about it all.

I agree with susannah (hi susannah!) that Alison Pill is a delight as the Wensleydale loving Agnes, but it's kind of weird how she murdered her lover a couple of days ago and now she's got a new boyfriend and everyone's fine about the murder.

Being positive though: loved Riker in uniform in a Captain's seat. I'd watch the shit out of a Riker show (if it was good. Otheriwse I'd just watch it and leave the shit.)

Gave it a 9. Loved it but felt Picard going into an android body was a weird choice. Not sure entirely how I feel about that. Plus it undercut his "death" massively.

I mean, I know its not a perfect rationalization. But, it is, sadly, a Trek rationalization where people are welcomed back despite such extremes in behavior. Sorry, but a first officer trying to murder his captain is not something where things go right back to normal.

    Riker- Admiral.....on your left.

Amusing it worked here but failed miserably in Rise of Skywalker.

True, but his new body has to be programmed to die, else he would live a very long time.

The driving factors of this season was the struggle Picard has with data's death and also the fact that life is precious and he is dying from something he or noone else has control over...what can be bigger than this for season 2??

After a second watch I'm starting to think this should have been the series finale but with Picard dying and rejoining data in digital eternity.

They should have eradicated some of the carbon based life forms infesting the Romulan and Starfleet ships.

Overall, a fitting end to a good season.

I can't wait to see what they have in store for next season.
