Tellerites look better. Andorians look almost the same which is fine. They've got some side details on their faces and voice modulation, but other than that no big change.

Didja notice Burnham was fed the same octopus salad or whatever the hell it was that Lorca was eating in (I believe) episode 4 or 5? I didn't want to believe Lorca was MU but now I figure there's at least the possibility. This show doesn't drop hints without a reason.
Really? Cool. Was that confirmed or is it just a recognizable shooting location some Trekkies would identify right away?
Yeah, the Tellarites retain the same snout and eyes from ENT but add tusks coming out of the sides of their mouths or cheeks. The Andorians are almost identical to their ENT versions except for more pronounced, sharpened brow ridges and cheekbones. And I think the blue makeup is a deeper blue this time, closer to how the Andorian flag officer seen in the Federation Council chamber in Star Trek IV looked.
It would explain the manner of his resolve.
That Rock Bridge is where the prisoner Exchange took place. I think we saw this exact same angle in this episode as the picture of the Memory Alpha article, except where we see the spaceship in this picture we saw the rebel base tonight.

Since they appear to be staying awhile, I'd like a least a few scenes showing how the mirror DSC is up to in the regular universe.
Emperor Robau doesn't execute traitors. The traitors kill themselves just so they can die having pleased Emperor Robau.
Last week was a 9, this week was an 8. Maybe it's Martin Green, but the dialogue she has doesn't feel natural. It feels kind of cringeworthy and the scene gathering wisdom almost brought the show to a halt.
Other than that I really am enjoying where this is going and seeing the emperor was awesome. Really excited to see where this goes.

A little bit of a letdown after last week. But seemed like a transition episode. Lots of twists but seemed like it was setting the stage for a lot more. I’ve underestimated this series before!
10 from me. Great episode. I like that they didn't keep the Stamets killed Culber plot going unnecessarily and the Voq reveal was cool. Plus the Empress. Great stuff. Mirror Stamets also makes an appearance.
We are not going to see plain TOS design on a show made 50 years later. We'll get a connie that fits with the new show's look. That's why they intentionally showed the oversimplified wireframe. Because the connie isn't redesigned yet. It also doesn't need to be shown since making it any focus (other than a red herring) in this arc would be redundant. The defiant already had a leading role in the last series' mirror arc.
No. Clearly, they weren’t detected. So, clearly, they successfully managed to avoid detection. Absolutely ZERO “need” to explain how.
Man that’s a solid 9 for me, maybe a 10. Loved the scene with Sarek. Would have maybe liked to see Sarek put it ALL together and maybe even refer to Burnham as his child, but that’s just nitpicking. The Lorca is the MU version theory seems to be getting stronger. He wanted Burnham to wipe out the rebels, then gave a smirk when he saw the emperor which I believe the audience was supposed to take as something being out of place.
I do get the criticism of making Tilly seem like a more competent doctor than Culber. Seems like they should have had Lorca confine Culber to quarters in order to prevent him from treating Stamets so that Culber doesn’t come off that way. You could still have Tyler visit him there and have Culbert killed if that’s what you want. But again, that’s a tiny nitpick. Great episode, can’t wait to rewatch it.

I doubt they will change it much. The Defiant maybe since it’s had 100 years in a different universe but not the prime ones. It would be sacrilegious to do so.
They’ll probably just add a few minor details to the hull and probably a bridge window, since every other ship has one now.
