Yeah, I gotta say..... everything about this image works. I'm starting to feel something..... By God, it may actually be excitement!

Yesssssss. A Sec31 forum for the tv movie and likely new series!

I'm really amused this movie now has a whole section in the forums, with threads below that have been around for several years. Granted, the forum layout was done in anticipating this to be an actual series.

Backdoor pilot. *Cough* backdoor pilot *Cough*

Exactly. Either this happens (which would be pretty cool, obviously) or we’ll make this a subforum under Discovery. Nothing set in stone yet, we just wanted this to be as visible as possible for when the streaming movie happens. :)
What’ll happen in the event the loooong-gestating Khan miniseries/podcast/blogpost/whatever the hell it actually becomes finally releases?

Looks more like the Franklin era to me

Someone who saw the London premiere said it was funnier, sillier, and less serious-gritty than expected, compared it to 5th Element, Guardians, Mission Impossible

I was just about to comment on the fact the computer displays in the Garrett pic look like something from TNG S1. Which surprises the hell out of me, as that look is dated AF. I guess if the ship used in this movie is supposed to be an older one they could get away with a dated look as a means of representing age, but damn. Someone's doing their homework here.

We seem to primarily be dealing with two ships in this film. One is the more advanced looking one that has the late TOS films / Lost Era blue LCARS looking computers.

The other ship , which I'm affectionately calling The Garbage Truck, has the green text computers from the Lost Era / Early TNG.

My guess is that the more advanced looking one is an actual Section 31 ship, loaded with high tech Starfleet equipment, while the Garbage Truck is something commandeered for the mission.

There are at least 3 ships: Georgiou’s personal ship (Charon?), a Section 31 ship (early 24th century consoles from the SFX pics?), and The Scow (22nd century consoles from EW?)
