It would never even cross my mind to tell my cat not to climb on the counter. My cat jumps on my bathroom sink every morning and makes me turn the faucet on for her!

^Mine do the same multiple times a day.

I actually don't mind it. It's kind of nice to have my cat jump up on the counter while I'm preparing my breakfast. It's a nice start to the morning.

I don't mind it either.. and mine can even stay near the fish aquarium, and "knock "on the glass trying to catch the fishes..

Comet isn't allowed on the counters and he knows it. In our first house we had him trained not to go in the kitchen at all. Now he only goes on the counter to jump up on the fridge, he knows if he stays on the counter for more than a split second he gets yelled at.

Also I want all these kitties. I have gold!

:)
Here's mine:

Moochie looks just like one of my two cats. She's half-Siamese but looks black. You have to look close to make out her Siamese features. I'll be posting pics of them soon.

Ok, we need to stop these animal pictures. As much as I love my apartment, I severely regret going someplace where I couldn't own a cat or a dog. My lease isn't up for 6 months and you guys are making this really, really hard on me!

How about this picture to make you homesick for Denver?

Looks like we might have a mild, wet Christmas here in my part of Virginia. The temps are going to be nowhere near what they need to be for snow to form and we're supposed to get at least some precipitation on the 24th or 25th...possibly both days.

Last year as well as in 2009 Roanoke had a white Christmas. But in 2008 it was dry, mild and 61 degrees on Christmas Eve night. Looks like we're probably going to have a weekend that looks and feels more like early spring than it will early winter. We'll see.

Our cat, Holly, lounging in her favourite chair in my bedroom.

She was 4 years old when we adopted her so I've never seen her small. She's lost weight lately but still weighs 15 lbs. She must have been gorgeous as a kitten.

Here's Marley guarding the presents under the tree :) :
