In Memoriam: Mr. Laser Beam

This has been so upsetting to me, I used to give MLB crap back in the day but we also had a lot of fun chats. It bothers me that we don't know what happened to him. One thing I think about is how much fun he had in the last 10+ years, going to Oktoberfest in Germany with his dad, all his NYC and Canada trips.. he enjoyed his life with great enthusiasm.

Just saw this.

Man, I remember him from back in the day. Prolific poster. Sad to hear of his passing.

Strange, isn't it, people we never met these days can affect us just like the people we know in the real world.

I guess his friends and family have been dealing with the grief for a while, but I hope they got through Christmas okay. The first is always the hardest.

I just saw this. :(

He was so enthusiastic about traveling in Canada and had so many questions. We basically adopted him as an "Honorary Canadian."

He really enjoyed Corner Gas (comedy show about people in small-town Saskatchewan, that takes place in a gas station).

Well hell. I guess if you don't check in for a few years you're bound to come across something like this, but it really sucks. I think he and I were about the same age. We often did not see eye to eye and I probably rubbed him the wrong way at times, but he seemed like a good guy and I'm sorry he's gone.

He had a joke he loved and went to again and again. Sometimes I wondered if he got some kind of alert when certain words were posted so he could do the joke. But it always made me smile. So I'll watch this for Mr. Laser Beam.
