I do think they could have done a lot more with Yar in later seasons. A long term Yar-Data relationship might have been part of it maybe.I didn't particularly like Kes. I am on my rewatch of DS9 so I'll come back later & for TNG: I'd say Yar because she wasn't used to her full potential. ENT: I need to rewatch so I can decide. VOY: I hate to say this, but I did not like Harry.

Ent: Supposedly there is a character named Mayweather but this has never been proven, to my knowledge.
-Cries petulantly like Malcom Reed in any given scene, at what might have been-Who?
Never heard of 'm.Ent: Supposedly there is a character named Mayweather but this has never been proven, to my knowledge.
I HATE Harry! It's not a race thing. (I'm Asian.) But what exactly did Harry Kim bring to Voyager? Besides being an insufferable snot? I am okay with Kes. And Yar. As long as you delete Harry and Travis.I didn't particularly like Kes. I am on my rewatch of DS9 so I'll come back later & for TNG: I'd say Yar because she wasn't used to her full potential. Maybe I've overlooked it, but I've never seen anyone claim J.J. Abrams killed Star Trek. They may not like his movies, but they did good box office and at least somewhat led to Trek coming back in streaming form. I don't think there's any way you could argue he killed the franchise. And I don't think, creatively, he gets the hate that Kurtzman does either.NO those are just the ones the "fans" say killed Star Trek but we've heard that song before many times over many years
Every Trek series has to have at least one insufferable snot. In TOS, it was Spock. In TNG, it was Picard. Etc. Some insufferable snots just get liked by the fans more than others.I HATE Harry! It's not a race thing. (I'm Asian.) But what exactly did Harry Kim bring to Voyager? Besides being an insufferable snot? I am okay with Kes. And Yar. As long as you delete Harry and Travis.
Now. I know how this sounds. The one Asian guy and the afro-american. Still. I hate Harry Kim and Travis Mayweather. They did nothing to the story. (Although zero gravity was cool.)
I'm not Trump. I'm Trekkie.
Nah Kes was far more useless than Harry.I HATE Harry! It's not a race thing. (I'm Asian.) But what exactly did Harry Kim bring to Voyager? Besides being an insufferable snot? I am okay with Kes. And Yar. As long as you delete Harry and Travis.

So while I don’t really hate any of the characters on Trek, here’s the ones I find least enjoyable …
Additionally, as a kid first watching Trek I really didn’t like Quark, finding him just sleazy, weird and annoying. However, getting older I grew to like him, appreciating his more caricature-like aspects.
- Harry Mudd, because I find him unfunny and sleazy and not very entertaining.
- Lwaxana, she definitely has her moments, but most of the time I thought she was annoying as hell.
- Captain Liam Shaw; I guess I understand what the writers were going for with him, and I really like Todd Stashwick as a person, but the character didn’t click with me at all.
- Emperor Giourgou, because she had a horrible disregard for the life of other beings and it often felt like they didn’t even attempt to redeem her as a character. Her humor, which I guess was supposed to be crass and cool seemed just cringe to me most of the time.
- Pelia, because half the time I find the humor they are attempting with the character just cringeworthy.
- Worf, who’s very annoying with his honor schtick and over-the-top machismo.
My wife says, “There’s a lid for every pot.” It’s true. The idea that Geordi never found a lid for his pot is ludicrous. It’s preposterous, and it’s insulting.
Hahaha!
Well done idiot!
