Which Star Trek character do you most identify with?

Frontis

Captain
Captain
Simple question...for me I have to say, Spock. He was always my favorite character. When we played Star Trek as children in the 70s I was always Spock. Now on one hand I think maybe I am too emotional for him but on the other hand it is not so easy for me to show emotions and I often try to control them and don't show them to others. So I think it fits. What about you Trekkies?

If I'm to be as objective as possible: Reg Barclay.

I'm not comfortable socially, not popular, when there's a group of people I tend to stay quiet and hope nobody notices I'm there. I also spend all my free time escaping into the fictional worlds of my video games and box sets, I'm much happier there than in the real world.

The only difference being I turn up to job every day and on time.

Travis Mayweather- Never talks to anyone
Harry Kim- Doesn't get promoted at work

If more Trek fans were being honest (especially the ones with massive paperback novel collections who can explain to people what the deflector dish does) they would admit this instead of hating on him.

Scotty. Full-stop. And I said as much to Doohan's face, in an autograph line at a Creation con in Pasadena, back when their convention center was mainly underground. That was also when I first learned that Doohan had left a finger on Juno Beach, during the Normandy invasion.

We're both mechanically-inclined problem solvers.

Saavik, as written by Vonda McIntyre. A childhood that left her with a lot of carefully-hidden rage, doesn’t quite fit into the society around her, but goes all-in on committing to doing so anyway.

Will Riker. I would never tell anyone else this but I grew my beard because of Riker. I like the ladies. I've also learned in my professional career that I'm a better advisor to the manager rather than being the actual manager. That may be unfair on Riker who would have actually been a captain for years but I'm just going on what I saw on-screen.

I also love music. I had a fractious relationship with a woman called Shelby, albeit in slightly different circumstances. I had sex with an alien. I didn't have a good relationship with my father. I got married and had children later in life.

Spock. I actually have funny Vulcan ears so I was teased from age 3 with bullies calling me Spock. And thus not human enough. Alien. I grew up to like it. And love Star Trek.

When we played as kids, I was Spock. There was a time I related a lot to Julian Bashir. But a friend recently told me, whenever he watches ENT, Phlox reminds him of me. Maybe his belly.
