Marvel/Netflix Daredevil season 2.

The Hand ninjas aren't technically alive, so DD should have had no problem with Punisher cutting them to pieces.

Wow, that's, like, an extensive series of medical, ethical, and theological debates about the fundamental nature of life, consciousness, and the soul just to get Matt to that point, not something you could dispose of in a throwaway line. At this point, Matt would still be skeptical of the very idea of resurrection (for anyone except the Son of God). And I'm skeptical myself of the idea that having been brought back from the dead somehow means that one no longer has a consciousness worthy of being preserved.

Didn't enjoy the this season as much as the previous one. The first four episodes were good, but I didn't really start enjoying it until episode five. Still some of the best television I've watched overall though.

Make Mine Marvel, as always.

The ending of the series was surprisingly meh, basically a set up for next season. I hope they minimize The Hand plot line and emphasize the Fisk plot line next season. The Hand are not that interesting.

Yeah, I don't get the negative critical reviews either.

I loved this season and thought it was better than season one. It just seemed to get stronger and more awesome with every episode.

Charlie Cox continues to be Matt Murdock and Eldon Henson continues to be an entertaining and endearing Foggy. I really like what they have done with Karen on this show. She drives as much of the action as much as anyone and is a well-developed character. I liked Elektra a lot and I think Matt had great chemistry with her and Karen. Jon Bernthal absolutely killed it as The Punisher and his inclusion on Daredevil lived up to all the hype and more. I was happy and surprised to see the return of Fisk. After his anti-climactic defeat in S1, I thought this season really reestablished him as a force to be reckoned with.

I'm only on episode 4, so I don't want details, but I was just wondering if the season ends with Bernthal and Yung in a position to return next season?

There is no reason to assume that the resurrected ninjas are mindless zombies and actual evidence that they aren't. Nobu, aside from far less burns than he should have had, came back from death like nothing had happened.

In comics, The Hand's resurrection technique is a sort of mystical laying of hands and moving a living being's life-energy to the dead body, restoring the dead at the cost of the living. On the show, I'm gathering that that whole bit about The Hand draining bodies to feed whatever was in the at casket thing is the MCU's more grounded less comic-booky way of doing the same thing.

I just finished season 2. Good stuff. I wouldn't say it's better than season one due to it being a new fresh take on the character but it's definitely on par with it. Punisher was great but the craziness/memory loss kinda put me off. Luckily, Jon Bernthal's take on the character topped his predecessors. Charlie Cox's performance was once again superb though I could have done without the love triangle. Foggy also stepped up a good bit. Shame on how he departs. Though the cast borderlined Amazing Spider-man 2's "too many heroes/villains", I still would liked to have seen Jessica Jones or Cage come to the rescue upon Claire's request. Still, the whole thing was put together well, even though, at first, I thought it was crap. Honestly. Punisher being caught so soon and Electra was a spoiled rich brat (among other things) but they wrapped it all up nicely (though it took until the last two episodes to see that). I hope Luke Cage can maintain Daredevil and Jessica Jones' momentum.

Loved it.

Daredevil's greatest feat is its compelling character-driven storytelling that takes a more subtle approach to the comic genre. Even when the narrative gets weak--which at times it does--the characters, their lives, their emotions, and their stories keep things rolling.

I was never much a Marvel guy, but I know about Netflix's plans to do an eventual team-up show, and I think it will be easier to buy into as these characters are given time to develop, unfold, and grow. I think Marvel has faltered in this regard on the big screen.

When I heard Bernthal was cast as Punisher, I thought he was an uninspired choice, but I am happy to eat my words. He nailed it.

I much preferred it to Jessica Jones and the first season of Daredevil (and I enjoyed each of those quite a bit.)

Yes, I couldn't stand him on Walking Dead but that was kinda the point of his character, right? As Frank Castel he totaly blew me away(heh)!

Wow, I just watched episode 4 and Bernthal's monologue at the end was outstanding. I never thought I would say this about a character like The Punisher, but I really think Bernthal deserves at least some nominations when award season comes around.
