Victorino has made a case, but so has the Panda. Great defense, and his first ever Grand Slam.

Vote for Pablo. ;)

Shane got his first ever Grand Slam in the playoffs last year. Tonight was Jayson Werth's turn.

Brian Wilson is a hack closer and it is great that he's not going to the All Star Game. He's not good enough to be an All-Star but just a mediocre closer.

Glad you beat the Marlins. In fact, all NL East teams but the Phillies (and Nats, I'll be nice to them) must lose from here on out.

He picked the wrong season to quit drinking... :guffaw:

I think several of the players picked the wrong season to quit amphetamines. :p

Go Panda....:techman:

Wilson has has had some rough outings, but I'm OK with him. He's a real upgrade from what was before him. He has nearly Nen stuff at times. If he can stop overthrowing his breaking ball he could be just at good.

Half the team is playing like they were named Shirley.

Delgado gone for season...
No run support for Santana...
There's a sale at Penney's!!!

:guffaw:

We can't hit...
We're gonna lose...
We're dead...
Did I leave the iron on?

I love Airplane!

Hmmm...

Halladay
Beckett
Lester
Penny
Smoltz

How redic would that be? God I would love Halladay on the Sox, and now that Toronto is open to trading him, even within the division, I would love to get him.

If he has to go, the Doc better not go to Boston or NY... anyone but them.

In any case, if he's gone, I will be inconsolable for months...

Nats are playing the Rockies...score is tied 4-4...Nats had bases loaded and then blew it. They just can't hit when it counts the most.

On the other hand, the Rockies will probably win and that's okay...it's hard to be loyal to three teams. :p

Nice to see the sleeping Boston offense perk up a bit. But really, no help from the Twins to keep those Yanks at bay? Last I checked, Minnesota was being systematically dismantled.

Surely you can't be serious?

Yes, he's serious. And don't call him Shirley.

"Coach? How soon till we play?"
"I can't tell."
"You can tell me, I'm the pitcher."
"No, I'm just not sure."
"Well can't you take a guess?"
"I think...not for another two hours."
"You can't take a guess for another two hours?"

Coach: It's a different kind of playing altogether.

Team in unison: It's a differnet kind of playing.

This could go on all night!

(into the mike)
This is Jerry Manual. I'm the manager. Jose Reyes is passed out on the floor, and we've lost the first basemen and center fielder, too. We're in terrible trouble. Over.

(Later on...)
There is no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you enjoy the rest of the game. By the way, is there anyone in the stands who knows how to hit a curveball?

I'll be going to the Twins/Yankees game tonight. Hopefully, the Twins will help you out this time. I'd hate to sit through another game like last night's drubbing after paying $500 for cheap seat tickets (got them at a charity auction, so I way overpaid for them).
