So the Giants lost, but it was still a great weekend. I just hope the Big Unit is alright.

Oh, and all you east coasters, Vote Pablo. I really want to see this guy on the national stage. It's been great watching him on a nightly basis and he really deserves a spot.

^I'm chalking this season up as a lost cause for the Metsies. Just too many injuries. I just need to figure out something to do until football season begins.

I'm a little surprised that Josh Hamilton was voted a starter for the All-Star game. He's a good player, but with his injuries and all, I don't think his stats merit a starting spot on the roster.

Other than that, I think the All-Star roster is pretty good. I would have liked to have seen Jason Bartlett get a starting spot, but I can see why Jeter was voted in ahead of him.

The entire NL East blows. They still have a shot.

I know! And it was supposed to be a strong division too. :wtf:

I take it your Mr. Met doll has hit the booze already? Or has he jumped out of a window? :p

Mr. Met doll has taken to sniffing glue to soothe his troubles.

As a Rangers fan, I would agree with this. He's been out way too much this year, and even when he was in, he has had some struggles his year. But as we all know, it's mainly a popularity contest, so there it is.

When Hamilton is healthy though, he's a lot of fun to watch play. I went to a game where launched one into the second deck of homerun porch at the Rangers ballpark.

I'm now 1-2 for Phillies games. Apparently the 21 run margin of victory was the largest for the Phils in over a century.

That was quite the beatdown the Phillies laid on the Reds today. I missed the game since it wasn't on TV, but you can bet I'll be catching highlights on Sportscenter...

I credit mimic with the victory. Third time being a charm and all.

Victorino made his case for the All Star vote, too: 4 for 5 with 5R, 4 RBIs and a walk. Not bad.

Is it possible the Phils could transfer just a few runs over to the Sox? Cause they can't score runs to save their lives recently. Smoltz was actually pretty good tonight. He really only made one big mistake, despite an inconsistent slider.

Yeah. Some shuffling of the order might be due. At least the Sox didn't lose any more ground with the Jays taking down the Yanks.
