What the hell happened to the Rockies? 17-1 over their last 18? 9 consecutive wins on the road?

I guess firing Clint Hurdle made a difference. Can they be the Penguins of MLB?

Well, they've ran into a bit of a snag with the Angels, but I think they'll win the division if they can keep it up!

^I think every team ran into a snag against the Angels. Man where they dominant during Interleague play.

The two clubs that I follow both one their games today by one run, and both came from behind to do it.

Close finishes are more fun when your teams win. Good job Phillies and Tigers.

^and his first ribbie to boot.

As a Mets fan, I went from being bummed about all the injuries to just plain disgusted when K-Rod walked Rivera to force in a run. Is it football season yet?

Ya know, two years ago the Rockies won 20-some-odd games in a row at the end of the season to really muddle up the playoff picture in the NL West.

That team has shown that it can display tremendous moxie when the shit's on the line, and I would NEVER rule them out.

(Plus, unlike the Diamondbacks, the Rockies had the guts to keep the purple color scheme. For that reason they shall have my respect)

Some interesting games tonight. The Orioles come back big against Boston. I saw that score in the 7th and assumed it was all over. Baltimore has had a tough season, and coming back like that against the Red Sox bullpen has to put smiles on faces.

As for the Phillies, they did not come through today. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

And the Tigers held on to win 5-3, with the bullpen making things interesting at the end of the game.

No team has any division on lockdown before the All-Star break. Just ask the Mets.

They're too injured this year to give us fans another coronary scare this September.

They should just break out Buffalo Bisons jerseys since its mostly a Triple-A roster at this point.

The frustrating thing is they can't really go after a big deadline deal because they have too many holes right now and there's no point in getting someone when you have an all-star caliber player that normally fills that spot.

Well the Sox certainly gave the Orioles a taste of their own medicine today.

Papelbon is now the all time saves leader for the Sox with 133, passing Bob Stanley.

Mets in third place in the NL East. Football season can't come soon enough...but then I have the Redskins to root for. Not much improvement! :p

Go Rockies!

I know it's late but I've been on Vacation all well. Tim Lincecum is the man. Complete game 2 hitter in only 95 pitches is fantastic stuff.
