Does anyone think Star Trek Legacy will ever happen?

There's plenty of things that have precedent in Trek that I personally would not want to happen again.

Which is why it's quite annoying when people use that as some kind of excuse to justify whatever crap the current producers shell out.

Sure, there's lots I don't want. That list is quite long, but I'm sure I'll get accused of not wanting "Star Trek in my Star Trek".

But, even if I wish for it not to occur again, it doesn't make some less of Star Trek when it happens again. Hell, I would love the stupid alien pregnancy not to happen ever again but they did it twice in the Berman era! (Troi and Trip).

So, yes, precedence are both annoying and also a part of Trek.

If Legacy was starring the TNG Cast, then I'd agree with Marina Sirtis. It wouldn't happen. But it's not starring the TNG Cast, so I don't.

Is she the one who came up with the idea? Is she the one who pitched it? Is she the one who can accept the pitch or reject it? No, no, and no. She was confused about who'd even be in it. Not the TNG Cast. Who'd be in it would be Seven and Raffi, who aren't in their 70s, Jack and Sydney who are far from their 70s, and I assume a bunch of new characters who won't be in their 70s either.

Just in case it needs to be spelled out: Jeri Ryan was born in 1968. Which means that she's only five years older than Anson Mount and also means she won't be 70 until 2038. And she's still in terrific condition.

I don't know if Legacy will happen, but no one knows if it will happen. We'll see. Take a page from Socrates.

Cue the rebuttals.
