There's plenty of things that have precedent in Trek that I personally would not want to happen again.
Which is why it's quite annoying when people use that as some kind of excuse to justify whatever crap the current producers shell out.

Sure, there's lots I don't want. That list is quite long, but I'm sure I'll get accused of not wanting "Star Trek in my Star Trek".There's plenty of things that have precedent in Trek that I personally would not want to happen again.
If Legacy was starring the TNG Cast, then I'd agree with Marina Sirtis. It wouldn't happen. But it's not starring the TNG Cast, so I don't.
Is she the one who came up with the idea? Is she the one who pitched it? Is she the one who can accept the pitch or reject it? No, no, and no. She was confused about who'd even be in it. Not the TNG Cast. Who'd be in it would be Seven and Raffi, who aren't in their 70s, Jack and Sydney who are far from their 70s, and I assume a bunch of new characters who won't be in their 70s either.
Just in case it needs to be spelled out: Jeri Ryan was born in 1968. Which means that she's only five years older than Anson Mount and also means she won't be 70 until 2038. And she's still in terrific condition.
I don't know if Legacy will happen, but no one knows if it will happen. We'll see. Take a page from Socrates.
Cue the rebuttals.
Maybe it's time for no Trek. Can't have old Trek, can't have young Trek, can't have mid-30's Trek...
I guarantee that Sirtis is far more in the know about Trek's plans than any of us.
If it did happen, she wouldn't have had much of a role in it anyway (hence, no need to tell her much of anything).
One of her closest friends, Jonathan Frakes, has been actively involved with CBS/Paramount as a director. He was also on the cruise and did not refute a word of what Sirtis said.
She knows more than we do.
Frakes has also gotten in trouble with Paramount in the past for telling tales out of school.
You do realize that CBS/Paramount Trek is over, right? What possible trouble could Frakes get into now?
That was a hiatus of, what, all of a year and nine months between the airing of the last ENT episode and the announcement of the Abrams movie.Legacy is not happening, nor is Year One or any of that other stuff.
The cancellation of SFA makes it less likely we'll get more Trek in the near future. In fact, we could be looking at another hiatus, like the one after ENT , until they retool the franchise
Given that we are very likely in for another reboot I'm not sure we're particularly going to be okay, not to mention a reboot under the auspices of someone happy to cosy up to the trump crowd for their own benefit. We'll be okay.
what i mean is Kurtzman era is likely over.
now that paramount are now owned by right wing trumpers its a maybe possibility that a brand new timeline of a star trek legacy will happen
