Christmas Thread

I can't think of a witty Christmas name

Neither can I. I would love to be part of this Christmas name change, but I can't think of anything cool. I hate my lack of creativity.

As for Christmas, I've been listening to a lot more Christmas music lately through Apple Music. I like their curated playlists, even though I don't know if the shuffle works well. I also have bought gifts for my parents my a birthday present for my brother. I don't know what to get him for Christmas. I am looking forward to the Holiday though, as well as New Years.

^maybe just change your name to "Christmas" you know

but I as well can't figure out a "thinking" christmas name?

(Incomplete) list of witty Christmas names:

- Colin God of Sex

- Little Lord Fauntleroy

- Out of the Claus-et

- Uncanny X-Mas

- Ghost of Christmas Trek

- Krampussycat

- Wet Bandit

- Jingle Bell Spock

- Sandy Claws

- Conquered Martian

- Naughty AND Nice

- Shane Black Christmas

Office Christmas party today. I put the over/under of number of people who bring alcohol as the yankee swap gift at 5.

That was way under, there are 9 or 10.

I ended up with my own gift. I drew the 3 so it was totally chance.

Here is the optimal strategy for getting alcohol at a Yankee swap if you draw an early number. You pick a gift that non drinkers like. So that way, when the non drinker gets the alcohol, they steal it.

That might be a generalizable strategy too. Whatever kind of gift you want, pick the gift that people who hate that kind of gift would love.

Interesting strategy. But since non-drinkers are all unique individuals with their own likes and dislikes, what exactly constitutes "a gift that non drinkers like"?

I daresay that drinkers probably enjoy those things too. :)
And if those are the kinds of things that are usually given at gift exchanges at work, then I'm working in the wrong place!

OK --- @Eleven Days of Christmas how I do it (where do I change my name?) to "Christmas" going to take the plunge --

@Bah Humbug already pointed you to the thread (thank you!), so the only thing I would add is to make sure you've put your regular username in either your custom title, your location, or your signature before submitting your request. Good luck!

No kidding. I've never received diamonds or musical instruments from any Christmas gift exchange at work. And if I did I'd feel guilty for giving a $10 Tim Hortons card in return.

$6.25 just in time for New Years.. of course the serious music player would use a harmonica,..

On the lighter side few years back my little brother was in jail.. for a while .. and I offered to send him a harmonic for Christmas,.. he didn’t think it was funny ..
