Agents of SHIELD. Season 1 Discussion Thread

Has the show gotten better? Any plans to kill Skye off or did she manage to not be the worst and most useless character on the show?

Blonsky refernce was indeed nice!

Cybertek is connected with Deathlok which has been speculated to be where they are heading with J August Richards' character.
Not speculation, ABC & Marvel both put out a Presser stating that Deathlok is coming via Richard's character.

The shows been getting better. Whether it's good depends on your subjective taste so you'd have to watch it.

Skye's not useless anymore to answer the final question and skip the other for obvious reasons

I keep thinking that Chloe Bennet is the star of the show and not Clark Gregg.

...modern comics have become more like film/TV and less like prose as devices like narration and thought balloons have fallen out of favor.
Batgirl makes extensive use of thought boxes and that what makes it one of the best titles.

Not to be confused with dethklok ;)

I wonder why Marvel so publicly announced that reference anyway.

I don't know much about the comic character, but I like the mixture of tragedy and fear we're getting from Mike. We want to help him, but he could easily kill us.

I know they like things to look a little more grounded, but I'm hoping they plan to slap some more cybernetics on him as time goes on. I remember comic-book Deathlok having more than a cyber-leg.

I actually really enjoyed this one. It made good use of all the characters and had some good fighting scenes. I liked the Rashomon structure of this episode. I can't believe Ming-Na is 50.

Mike is pretty cool as Deathlok.

The next episode isn't for another month? They haven't exactly scheduled this show well over the past three months.

^ Are you kidding? They just had a break. Inconsistent scheduling kills interest far quicker than a long break.

Well, he does have cybernetics in his eye. That being said, they might do something with his scared face and missing eye.

The episode itself was pretty so-so, but hooray for Deathlok! Too bad they so publicly spoiled that twist weeks ago.

Does anyone think there's a mole high up in SHIELD? Maybe Victoria Hand? Maybe SHIELD has been collaborating with Centepede to build super soldiers.

Ok, good.

BTW, I meant to say it earlier, but I like when the show does Spy-Fi. To me, that's what it should be about.
