Warehouse 13 renewed for fifth/final seasonfinal

^Yes, I felt very sorry for Saul in that scene. Dancing is not his strong point.

 

It felt natural to me. They were being forced to dance by an artifact, not dance well. I know I'd look like a pretty bad dancer myself in that situation.

 

I somewhat prefer this way. Now, you can imagine that whatever you wanted best is what happened to him.

I liked the ending - there was no way in Hell they were going to cede the US as a 'superpower' or whatever and have the Warehouse move somewhere else with finality.

 

I also thought "how chilling" when Leena predicted her death in the Warehouse.

 

In most of the dance scenes we only saw Saul, Pete, Myka, and Jinks from the waist up except for cut shots of them from the waist down (their dance doubles).

 

Sad to see it end. Enjoyed the ride, but wished it was longer.

 

Meanwhile the vastly inferior Haven just recently got renewed for a 26 episode fifth season.

Very enjoyable season finale, though. Still not a big fan of putting Pete and Myka together at the last minute after doing such a good job of subverting the typical will-they-won't-they dynamic for most the series, but it's not a huge deal.

I loved that Pete's "defining moment" was his entire experience at the Warehouse. Did that montage feature a clip from every episode of the show? It seemed like it did, but I'm not sure.

 

Haven has more unfulfilled potential than Warehouse 13.

It was Warehouse 13's own fault for fulfilling all it's potential.

(And probably being slightly more expensive.)

Besides the Herogirl (Shero!) just turned evil.

So will the hero who loves the shero still want to sleep with her now that she's a femalefactor?

 

Yeah, that was a great finale. It just made me love the show more.

I wonder if the flashbacks we saw were actually story ideas that they intended for season five before they found out they had only six episodes. Same thing with the character developments-- Artie's son, Claudia's second thoughts, Steve's questioning whether he fits in, Pete's fear that he'd go back to being a loser without the Warehouse. There were a lot of great moments. I like the way they handled Pete and Myka getting together-- she realized it independently. And it was great to see that scene with Mrs Frederick and Leena. I wonder what other things she was showing to Steve that were their "little secret." And poor Artie's rant at the Warehouse-- and its response. I think the only thing missing from this episode was Lindsay Wagner and Clare. I would have loved it if Artie and the doc got together and if Clare became part of the team.

And almost best of all: The Warehouse didn't move. Who knows why, but it's still Warehouse 13.

And we got a little peek at the future of the Warehouse, with somewhat updated technology. Claudia does become Caretaker after all. And since being Caretaker means aging very slowly, this may have been a hundred years into the future.

I'll miss this show, but they gave us a great finale and they left the door open for more. Let's cross our fingers. And keep our eyes peeled for a Kickstarter.

 

Not a fan of the love plot and the final scene, but as a whole it was one of the best send-offs in a long time.

 

If Haven got 26 episodes that means they will be splitting it over two years and then give it an abbreviated finale 'season', from one (Eureka) to six (Warehouse 13) episodes.

 

Haven's still on? Damn, that put me to sleep by the third episode.

 

It's funny. HAVEN doesn't generate a lot of buzz, but it keeps on chugging along, season after season. It's a silly show, but the cast is likable and my girlfriend and I both enjoy it.

 

I have two seasons worth of Haven on my TiVo and I keep telling myself I'll watch it when there's nothing better on.

 

If I recall that scene started with "several decades later".

 

Yeah, I'm sure they'll be splitting that season up. Haven's always done thirteen episodes per year anyway. But if the writers are smart they'll treat that back half as a finale season, because Syfy almost never goes beyond five seasons with their shows.

 

^^ It's definitely going to be split up. They just renewed it as one season so they wouldn't have to give anybody a raise in season five.

Yeah, and it's gotten better over time. It's like Lost Girl-- it works best if you don't try to make sense of it.

Exactly. I've decided that HAVEN operates on dream-logic and you just have to go with it . . . .
