I am missing Lower Decks, very badly

Lower Decks can always return, maybe one day they'll do Upper Decks, where they're all captains reuniting for some reason or another.

They’d have to set it before 2401 because they all would have been murdered by borgified lower deckers on Frontier Day.

Hardly, Voyager exists.

Not if the writers write otherwise.
VOYAGER managed to make a bunch of great episodes: "LIVING WITNESS", "BLINK OF AN EYE", "DEATH WISH", "MELD", "DISTANT ORIGIN", "YEAR OF HELL" two-parter, "MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE", "COURSE: OBLIVION", "TIMELESS", and some more.

DISCO couldn't manage to make one great episode. At best, a few decent to pretty good ones here and there.

So yes, I stand by my statement that DISCO is EASILY the worst in the franchise.

They'd do such a great job taking the piss out of unnecessary reunion slop like Picard season 3.

"So you're saying out of the thousands of captains in Starfleet the galaxy can only be saved by us four and we can't even involve our crews?"

"Yep."

"All because of a minor peripheral connection we had to this thing thirty years ago?"

"Yep."

"Awesome!"

And they'd bring back characters like Jet Manhaver, Jennifer and Ma'ah just to pointlessly kill them off.

I really really miss Lower Decks. It had such potential, and should have gone on forever, like South Park , Simpsons , etc.

Futurama and Family Guy did come back, so i have a small sliver of hope. Animation means it's easier to get the gang back together again. No need to build sets.

I’m pretty sure that not every single Starfleet officer was killed that day.

Now that *has* to happen. Captain Boimler panicking and a borgified towel guy

I still don't understand why this show got canceled. It seemed to have a good audience and wasn't as expensive to produce as a live action show is. Why cancel it?

I know it's been close to a year since Star Trek Lower Decks ended. And I'm thankful it got such a wonderful finale (I rank it up there with TNGs, DS9, and PIC Season 3)

But in recent months, I'm missing it. Sure I have Seasons 2, 4 and 5 (my favs) on Blu-Ray, some issues from IDW comic series, and the Warp Your Own Way graphic novel...

...But I still pray and hope somehow, someway a spinoff continuation of that program is given.

I owe a lot to Lower Decks, they practically reinvigorated my love of Trek three years ago, when I sadly parted ways with the franchise in 2010, feeling the well had run dry.

I am glad to have been proven wrong.

I love that show, I love the characters, I love the callbacks, the jabbings and that program really captured the spirit of Trek.

It deserves more adventures I feel. I still do, ever since the final episode aired.

With what's going on in Trek in recent news, I feel what I wish will be nothing more than a pipe dream. And it isn't enough.

I wish there was something that can be done that helps this lamentation in my heart...

To any LD and Star Trek fans, please help a fan out.

I had mixed feelings about Lower Decks when I heard the announcement, but thought it could be good. I watched the first episode and enjoyed it, but I hated the call outs. They didn't feel organic to the story, there were way too many and came off as "see, we the writers know our Trek". The Gary Mitchell one in the first episode comes to mind as an example.

So that aspect was hurting what was an otherwise enjoyable show. They got better over time and call backs seemed to be better integrated without coming off as "See? We know Trek!". As time passed I definitely enjoyed it more than crap like the last two Berman shows, DSC, and PIC. It's got heart, it's funny, it was a much more positive show that embraced the geekiness of Trek more than I expected (Tendi, Rutherford and Boimler's love of things that most would consider tedious as an example) and in the end it's one of my favorite Trek shows on a list that contains about three Trek shows.

I just want to see the interdimensional explorations out of Starbase 80, LD characters or no.

I have to say, I didn't like the ending where it became "DS9 with an interdimensional wormhole". I loved the Starbase 80 concept and would've loved to see a show set on it as it originally appeared. A vortex of weirdness that no one can explain or fix. I loved that. The ending seemed too conventional. Ah well....

THAT is what the Lower Decks Blu-Ray set should have included: The SNW episode!

Well that's some bullshit. They included "Trial and Tribbleations" in both the DS9 set and the Star Trek blu rays.
