IDIC: not just for merchandising medallions anymore. No joke, I watched "Subspace Rhapsody" twice and I was baffled as to why it has a devoted fan following.

Try telling that to the people who accused me of "hating fun" when I posted my thoughts.IDIC: not just for merchandising medallions anymore.
I'm right there with you.Try telling that to the people who accused of me "hating fun" when I posted my thoughts.
And wow. You joined in with them. Good job.I'm right there with you.
I also hate Star Trek, hate good art, hate characters and hate Roddenberry.
That's OK. I didn't care for Those Old Scientists. And I usually love the SNW comedic episodes.Season 1 for me. Since I finished it before watching the cliffhanger/premiere two-parter, Season 2 is great as well, giving us one of the best comedy stories in the mainline entries ("Those Old Scientists"), the opening of the Rah storyline, Una on trial and the further return of the proper Klingons in the wake of Worf's return in Picard season 3, but it does have an achilles' heel in "Subspace Rhapsody"*, the overhyped, overrated musical that kicked off the influx of shameless gimmick plots that would plague the show in its third season. Season 1 features great standalone stories, solid overarching subplots, and one of my favourite Trek stories in the excellently sad "Lift Us Where Suffering Cannot Reach".

Exactly. What one person finds terrible another finds good. That's OK. I didn't care for Those Old Scientists. And I usually love the SNW comedic episodes.
In the entire run of SNW to date, the only SNW comedy episode I dislike more is S3's A Space Adventure Hour.
I loved SNW S2 Subspace Rhapsody and I'm normally not a fan when a non music series does a 'musical episode'. When it was announced that they were doing it, I thought I'd hate it but I didn't.
Different strokes for different folks.![]()
I think that those who don't like the musical are welcome to itAnd wow. You joined in with them. Good job.
Indeed. I don't care about the musical. It was not fun...for me.Exactly. What one person finds terrible another finds good.
