Agents of SHIELD. Season 1 Discussion Thread

I do wonder if the twist is too emphasized right there. It is possible she isn't a bad guy and we don't truly know what's going on just yet.

I basically see two possibilities: One, there's another twist yet to come or Two, we've switched from the plot twist stage to the "stopping the bad guy" stage.

What do y'all suppose is the deal with Hand?
I suppose the deal is she's a good guy. Has been since the start.
Hence ordering everyone on the Bus eliminated...?
Yep. Did you pay attention to everything that actually happened during the episode, rather than what everyone was saying blindly?

(Hint: She likely has every reason to believe the Bus has been compromised by hostile forces.)

So kill them all and let God sort them out?

Attention all SHIELD! The Bus may have been compromised by hostile forces. Or they may just have a loose wire. Most of the agents on board may be fine. Or they may not. One may be a traitor. Or they all may be. We aren't interested in finding out. Kill everyone on board, except the one agent that Centipede has been wanting to interrogate. While Director Fury knows what is up with him, I don't, so I will deal with him myself. That is all.

One thing I'll say about Hand being the voice of the paralyzed guy. Obviously, someone else had to literally control him because she was in a room full of SHIELD agents. After all, wasn't she the one with the "bet he didn't see that one coming" line?

I never for a second got the impression that was the intention of the scene. A rewatch may change that impression, but your condescending tone won't.

<shrugs> We'll see who's right soon enough. And if asking if you were actually paying attention rather than being spoon fed everything the writers were throwing at you to throw you off is "condescending," then so be it.

Her orders were to kill everyone on the Bus.

Not stop, sedate and hold. Kill.

The only way that Hand is not a naughty, naughty girl because of this is if what she has engaged in was a zero tolerance countermeasure to a foothold scenario. If Coulson and Skye were Kree Sleeper agents who have now been activated, those two ENEMIES TO HUMANITY have to be killed quickly before they set anything drastic in motion.

Canadian viewer here. I think CTV's left off the end-teaser clip. Deliberately, for reasons unclear as yet. I got Hand saying "Coulson's mine!" and then straight to the end credits. Nothing else.

Surprised at the Department H name-check tonight. Was sure that such things weren't in the cards, given the X-books angle.

So if someone steals it, they're good to go?

I bet they added that feature after Loki got away from them in Avengers.
