Only just got around to watching this and I thought it was much stronger than the first episode. I always love seeing away teams exploring an alien planet (something we don’t see nearly often enough) and this one was beautifully brought to life. Some shades of “Arsenal of Freedom”.
Nice pacing, and although I wasn’t expecting to, I’m enjoying the tone. It’s lighter without going down SNW’s overly comedic/quippy/MCU style avenue which I strongly dislike. Everyone got a moment to shine and I love the addition of Rayner. He’s to me what I think Shaw was to fans of PIC s3. I think Rayner is far better written and his cantankerous no-nonsense style is much needed to counterbalance the buddy-buddy nature of the main characters.
