Yes...but I was meaning that the reason for Vulcans not being in starfleet is more about Vulcan bigotry towards humans and Starfleet, not the other way around

I think it has more to do with the fact that Human ships are freaking cold (and smelly) for Vulcans, and the opposite for Andorians.

The episode gets a 7 because cliffhangers are rude and they give me anxiety. It's streaming, there's no ratings, it's just impolite. We're going to watch next season; they don't need to create anxiety for us. Beyond that, nothing much really happens but Scotty was excellent and also actually Scottish, he saved the day and the episode.

The Klingons complained about it in TUC, for cryin out loud!
Klingons complain about everything.
True. As late as 2293 (thirty-three years after the events of "Hegemony") Azetbur called the Federation little more than a "homo sapiens-only club." Given how relative few aliens served on Starfleet ships we saw between 1966 and 1991 it's an easy stereotype to buy into.
How many non-Klingons are in the Empire? Non-conquered/slave, full-member species, I mean. In the actual canon.

Yeah, Klingons just Remain Klingon, to borrow a phrase. :techman:

I always preferred TOS's unspoken idea that humans were the first Federation members to have warp drive and that we went out and invited other aliens to join our wacky space hijinks club. That makes Starfleet being almost entirely human seem more plausible than the idea that humans joined as a junior partner and them became dominant for "reasons".

Well,I think that answers the question if SNW was becoming too goofy.Yikes!
Some day we might discuss just how dumb it is having so many flashlights on your body armour and rifles.

Also I have informed my missus that in the unlikely event that Jess Bush shows up at our front door then divorce is inevitable.

Can we talk about how the Space Amish want to live in the current American midwest? I need someone to explain the appeal. lol

I’ll keep an eye out for the flashlight signal.

That's funny. A neighbor of mine back when I lived in GA went to Vegas with his wife. He was playing blackjack in some casino and Jenny McCarthy sat down next to him to get in the game. His wife rolled around, and he was all excited about J.M. being there. His wife was a totally cool sort, and whispered in his ear that if he could get Jenny McCarthy to do anything with him, he had a free 'hall pass.' Then she cruised off to do her own thing.

Sadly, the hall pass went unused.

We laughed about that one many times over a cold beer.
