"Institute for Cultural Advancement" made me think that whoever originally created Khan and his "siblings" were probably trying to make humanity better. Instead of super soldiers, they may have been trying to create leaders who could move our species forward. I guess they actually did, but not the way they had in mind.
Iron Man: Time to support the superhuman registration act, Steve.Spock in 2267: "Because the scientists overlooked one fact: superior ability breeds superior ambition."
NoLa an shouldn't have killed Sera. kid Khan should've come out screaming with a hockey stick and killed her to showcase his enhanced strength
But there's always the corrallary that with more eps, there's less production time to shoot and tailor/rewrite (which has IMO allowed them to up the overall quality. We really need more than just 10 episodes per season. We're getting screwed over by not getting a shot at more per-season quality like this.
Trek's timeline has always been real-worldish. And that's a good thing. One of the many cool things about this episode is that it establishes unequivocally that the SNW timeline is not the real world timeline. It's similar, but it's not identical. Lining up with the real world is unnecessary.
This is my view.At 10 per season, I'll take quality over quantity.
Maybe. I doubt it will stick. One of the many cool things about this episode is that it establishes unequivocally that the SNW timeline is not the real world timeline. It's similar, but it's not identical. Lining up with the real world is unnecessary.
I don't follow Hockey but I have Canadian friends that do and I said, "Hey, unlike Baseball you guys have better players, so the Stanley Cup always goes to Canada..."Why Wuhan, China? Khan was established as being from India and if Paramount had the budget for location shoots by all rights that's where this episode should have taken place in. Although the livestreaming blackmail element of the cops might not have been as plausible anymore, was barely plausible as is
It can be intimidating.More than 1,000 replies since yesterday morning. Now THIS is a Star Trek discussion thread.
Pelia thinks you speak with an accent.
Pretty good episode but How is Khan a child in 2023? his war took part in the 1990's.
It was moved due to Romulan temporal interference.Pretty good episode but How is Khan a child in 2023? his war took part in the 1990's.
hi-jinksTemporal shenanigans.
Nice try. My brother in law is from Nebraska.Apparently she's never been to Nebraska. We don't have accents there.
Now a 21st century conflict, aligning with TNG and Pike's season 1 comments.Sorry I've edited my OG post because I had forgotten about that line - so is everything back to normal or does Khan now remain a 21st century conflict, instead of 1990's.
