If it will buy goods and services we'll care about it even if it means taking it to a Currency Exchange window at a bank. ;)

So because it's not fully enforceable no one should try?

That's some bs right there. Ban Time Travel as soon as possible.
Yes, because Temporal Technology is a zero sum arms race.

Either you constantly develop it, and can defend against the most recent developments, or you never existed because the other people who constantly developed it have erased you from existence.

And Number One is in episodes less so Romijn could spend time with her daughters?

Four years ago I had concerns that Pike would be pushed out of the show using every excuse. Whatever the reason was, my fears now confirmed.
From ST:TNG and on-wards, ST was supposed to be a "Ensemble Show".

So the Captain doesn't always have to have a heavy presence in each episode.

It's ok that we have character specific episodes, that's the beauty of the Ensemble Show formula.

Everybody gets something through-out the season.

Erase it. Please. All of it. Even the HG Wells stories.

Just be rid of the damn thing!

Correct!

Be ready to defend your civilization from Temporal Attacks through-out time, or be prepared to hope that nobody wipes you out.
There are SOO many ways to thwart a civilization, including going back and just destroying Earth before your civilization started.

I like Time-Travel, and so do many other folks.

We all know how you feel about the subject.

You hate Time Travel Stories with a burning passion.

Okay episode, nothing special. The time travel trope is being used way too regularly these days.

I liked the way Sera disintegrated herself to prevent the good guys (or at least La'an) from learning the true nature of the Romulans.

I liked the way they killed Jim Kirk- since it didn't matter. I think it would have had a bigger impact, however, had he survived, and when La'an pushed the button, only she showed back up on her Enterprise and he just vanished into the temporal ether.

The scene with the police was beyond stupid. No license, driving a stolen vehicle, after leading them on a chase, and the cops just give in to the threat of social media? Nuh uh.

I like the almost-nod to the old Voyagers! show, if indeed that is what it was. The device certainly looked and behaved like an advanced Omni. I'm not sure I would have made that connection if someone else hadn't mentioned it in a prior post.

How was Khan only a child here if the EW were supposed to happen thirty years earlier? Shouldn't Khan have been in his 50's at least? I think that was a major botch.

Still don't like Wesley as Kirk, but is is charming enough on his own.

Overall: Meh. Moving on to next week...

Braga's bizarre tweets about Jonathan Archer being Future Guy seem like they can fit now in light of this week's on-screen confirmation that there are at least 2 versions of the Prime Timeline now.

Someone call Scott Bakula.

They explained it in the show. The timeline has been slowed down. That's why the Eugenics War hasn't happened yet like stated in other series', and why Khan is a child.

Did SNW just give us a better version of the entire Season 2 of Picard in under an hour?

I mean obviously some differences in the ending... but they even had a Guinan ffs.

PIC Season 2 was an almost continuous downhill slide after "The Star Gazer." This week's SNW was refreshing, breezy fun that even sparks a hunger for street food in some viewers. The first didn't work. This episode did.

Kirk: La'an, I'm not going back with you because I'm in love with Pelia and staying here in the 21st century with her.

La'an: Wait what?

(La'an returns to the Enterprise in her timeline. She sees Pelia who gives her a wink and a smirk as she passes by)

La'an:

It never ceases to amaze me when Star Trek fans don't get that given the Enterprise two parter that directly showed us what happens when a race figures out a way to bypass your temporal defenses.

There's a fine line between not getting and not caring.

I like to think I walk that line every day of my life.
