While we are talking about Enterprise theme song, may I remind everyone that while the song is originally called Faith of the Heart, the version heard in Enterprise is officially called Where My Heart will Take Me.

It’s a good enough design overall. Would have made a good Enterprise for the JJ films. It’s just not the Enterprise that should be in this.

Should be? Of all the 1701 designs, this is the one that looks the most like the original, but updated. Literally every other design would've looked out of place.

Assuming that was directed at me, I didn't mean it sounded like it, only that like most recent Trek themes it's more open-ended and less "focused" than the previous themes. Just my opinion.

I hope they don't delay Season 2's release until they get Discovery Season 5 out. That would be a long wait, as Season 5 of Discovery doesn't start filming until June.

Why do they have the Enterprise so dark?
If there not going to lighten up the whole model, then they Really need to do a Refit Self lighting scheme so we can at least SEE the Enterprise.

External and environmental lighting outside of planetary surfaces have not been this creative team's strong suit. That said we know what the SNW Enterprise looks like in model form so we know her color is close to that of the TOS Enterprise. They just need to shine more light on her, especially if they insist on cramming glowing nebulae and nearby stars into every shot of space.

There's a couple of shots in the opening that show the Enterprise in really great light... but yeah, they could have put more self-lighting in there like on the Refit model. I usually put a lot of lights on my 2D designs for that reason.

It is, actually. There's no label on it because I had no space, and deck 2 is actually 2 levels tall.

I've made it more into an observation deck of sorts, although astrophysics can use it after 2200 hours.

The visuals are nice but the music feels all over the place. I just wish the Enterprise actually looked like the Enterprise.

There's always seems to be three opinions in any discussion about the SNW Enterprise's exterior:

• It looks good, the ship needed to be updated, visual continuity is overrated.
• If this is supposed to be the same ship design from TOS then they've made several obvious errors!
• It looks exactly like the Enterprise to me?

Personally I'm in group 2, but I think group 3 is probably having the most fun.
