Agreed. I understand the intent, I understand the fan intent, and I even appreciate the effort put in to syncing it up. Editing isn't easy.
But, just NO. It doesn't work, doesn't make sense and completely misses the point of the BOTH pieces of music.

No, but I hear that Pink Floyd - The Wall synchs up with The Wizard of Oz pretty good.

I wish Discovery had gone for this aesthetic rather than TMPish style back in Season 1. I think the set design looks fearless. I love TOS but these are the sets Roddenberry dreamt of making in the 60s. It absolutely feels like the USS Enterprise 1701 of TOS.
You can tell that Anson Mount really, really loves being the Captain of the Enterprise. It’s really infectious. I believe him when he says it’s a dream role for him.

It's certainly not as tight as the TMP/TNG theme or DS9's, although it's in line with VOY and the CBS series.
It does. A lot.
It's more hunched, for sure. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. Always found the original's neck a bit too tall.
Plus, modernising designs is good. The interiors sure look better than in TOS.
It’s a good enough design overall. Would have made a good Enterprise for the JJ films. It’s just not the Enterprise that should be in this.
