A more conservative update to the TOS Enterprise

Not bad! Not bad at all!
Still not a fan of inflating sizes for the class over the 366 meters Ryan Church had designed (for reasons covered at length at EAS). I've seen too many deck layouts, both licensed & fanon, that make the 'canon' lengths for the TOS & TMP Enterprises work at those lengths with the two decks in the saucer, i can't buy the arguments against them.

Thanks for adding the new image links in posts #9 & #18! Much appreciated, thank you!

Franz Joseph plan set, the FASA plan set, how many different plan sheets. One could go on.

Ryan Church designed the Reboot enterprise. This is an update/modernisation to the original. And it's bigger because it needs to be for the decks to fit in there. The original's size is, in my opinion, too small for the sets we see on the show. And since this is my baby, I can make it any size I want. I don't think 450+ meters is exaggerated. :)

I feel the same way. I have always viewed Enterprise as a city in space. The big E should always be longer than whatever Earth's biggest surface ship is now.

Like military ships are always the biggest now?

Spoiler, they are not.

That I knew. The kids can’t steer and keep getting hit by container ships. I thought they still had some sailing ships to train cadets on before fastening them up below decks staring at screens.

Ok time for an update. I've done a few in the last months and this is the end result.

Here's a tweet of the original version for comparison, in case the links in post 9 go dead.

Love the artwork.

Just one question, why does your rank structure go from "Admiral" to "Fleet Marshal" instead of "Fleet Admiral"?
