Well, they can't all be winners.it's that alternate universe where the only real difference is that ship plaques are on the wrong side of starships. as alternate universes go, it's kind of a dud

All things being equal I'm glad it was missed. I prefer character development to stunt casting. (Ironically) Tatiana Maslany is one of a kind. All that isn't necessary to tell us stories involving Una and Christine. I'm really hopeful it will pan out that they aren't clones, but even more than that, please, Gandalf, this time let us not even discuss it with outsiders. It's a missed opportunity to not have them both be played by the same actress.
Indeed. All things being equal I'm glad it was missed. I prefer character development to stunt casting.

I don't believe novels are canon.I thought they were sisters in one of the novels?
Depends on the day, the cycle of the moon, and placement of Mars.I don't believe novels are canon.
I'd rather not see a straight reboot of TOS, but I wouldn't be opposed to a show set between TMP and TWOK. Which would essentially achieve the same purpose while filling in another blank spot on the map.If SNW goes well, they are totally rebooting TOS when they reach 2265.
I am quite aware of that, I was just indicating that there are other possible situations involving those two particular characters that could be used.I don't believe novels are canon.
Being related in any way is also on the list of places I hope they don't go (while being well aware that conceivably they might).I am quite aware of that, I was just indicating that there are other possible situations involving those two particular characters that could be used.
Almost perfect but missing Uhura
One of the producers notes upon reading the initial show proposal.Almost perfect but missing Uhura![]()
I admire your optimism.Sure.
Why?100% yes.
Consistency, less fear, less drama, and I am optimistic on this front. Excited too. Why?
And de-ages 20 or so years.Because it'll be really, really strange that he gets demoted by the time of TOS.
An opportunity for what, the lamest kind of in-joke fan service they could come up with? Yeah, odd for the franchise to pass that up.It's a missed opportunity to not have them both be played by the same actress.
