Which isn't even close to accurate. By having diversity as part of SW film it demonstrates an awareness of a broader audience and inviting more in to the fold.
The ST was not about diversity. It simply had a more diverse cast than before. Just like the OT was just about Vietnam-but the themes are still there within the story.
This isn't a black and white issue, and looking down on the production team to try and invite more diversity is ignorant of the world we live in, and insists upon leaving SW in the 70s. Personally, I do not want SW to be stagnant.
