How long does pop culture need to protect you from yourself? A month? I get it.......spoilers suck but seriously, how long does it need to be in spoiler code? I am fully behind 48 hours.......a week tops.
Answered my own question.........and per the board rules it is SIX MONTHS.....So I stand corrected.
- - Finally, the statute of limitations on whether to consider an episode/film free of spoilers is SIX MONTHS from the time when it first airs, wherever it first airs. If a new episode of a series or film airs on June 1st in England then on Aug 1st in the US, the clock starts ticking on June 1st.
I usually try to keep my internet use to a minimum after new Marvel, or Star Wars movies come out until I see them. I will still go to most of my regular sites, but I am very, very careful not to go anywhere near anything even slightly related to the thing I haven't seen yet.
Even with the rules set the way they are, things still slip through the cracks, like this.
I have to confess, I wouldn't have even occurred to that Baby Yoda would be considered a spoiler at this point. It's been three weeks since we first saw him, and I have not seen anybody treating him as a spoiler. Usually most of the sites I go to are very cautious about keeping spoiler hidden, but they've all be putting his name and picture in headlines all over the place.
mmmm…. how is it a spoiler if you don't know the context, and it is called "Baby Yoda".... so either a Yoda prequel, time travel, or just one of Yoda's species.

I started watching it 10 days ago when all this Baby Yoda thing was starting, so I knew what it was gonna be. I suppose I had that knowledge but it didn't spoil my enjoyment of the show at all. It's not really a massive plot spoiler or anything.
It's probably like knowing Lando is gonna be in Episode 9. If we didn't know it would have been an awesome surprise, as it is we're all just gonna be waiting for him to show up. Ah well, no biggie.

Baby Yoda can't be Yoda - doesn't Mandelorian take place after the OT and before the ST to set up the ST because the movies didn't do the setup? Unless this Baby Yoda was crafted as a clone from some of its shed hair or something? (The reviews for the show sound GREAT but I've not had time to get to watching it yet.)
But as this thread is about their visages and I've seen pics of both, Baby Yoda is infinitely cuter than the little wooden actor, and little Groot was charming too...

Thanks Mom, I already corrected and posted the six month rule above days ago........Where's your green Moderator badge? I still don't personally think the mention of baby Yoda is really a spoiler since I can't turn on the TV or open a browser window without seeing him the past month. YMMV.

I will be making a poll on the December 18th titled "Vader vs Palpatine. Which was the more shocking parentage reveal." It's not a spoiler. I'm not spoiling who is Palpatines child. Could be anyone with mysterious parents in the SW saga.
It is virtually impossible to not know about Baby Yoda, whether you watch the show or not. I only started this week, and am 3 episodes in. I knew he existed, but no context, and I don't think this thread even comes close to spoilers.
