When did the Janeway hatred truly start to coalesce?

In any case, Picard, Prodigy and especially Lower Decks have been filling some gaps, but we don’t really know that much of the state of the galaxy from the late 2370s onwards, if, say, they decide to have 8472 launch an invasion next season of LDS they can do so without any timeline issues. By the time of Prodigy and Picard the invasion is over and irrelevant to the story, so it’s not mentioned at all (just like Prodigy and the first two seasons of Picard never mention the dominion war: why should they?).

Post Star Trek: Voyager, has there been any in-universe/canon talk about the Delta Quadrant?

How do you go from trading porn, to invasion, in just 5 years?

Something I came up with awhile ago...

Q appears on the Voyager bridge in a flash of light.

JANEWAY: "Q. What are you doing here?"

Q: "I've chosen you to be the mother of my child, of course."

JANEWAY: "I would like to have a child someday. But not with you."

Q: "Why not?"

JANEWAY: "I'm just not the right type of woman for you."

Q: "If you do this for me, Kathy, I'll get Voyager home."

JANEWAY: "No."

Q: "Wait a minute. You've made it clear that you'll do whatever it takes to get your crew home. But you won't even..."

JANEWAY: "We'll get home, but we'll do it through ingenuity and hard work. We don't need any quick fixes."

Janeway turns to her crew for support... and finds them glaring at her instead.

CHAKOTAY: "I'm sure that will be very comforting to the crewmen who are going to die in the years it will take us to get home that way."

B'ELANNA: "In the Maquis, we made sacrifices for each other. I thought Starfleet was the same way. I guess I was wrong."

TUVOK: "I'm sorry to say, captain, your actions are most illogical. The needs of the many should outweigh the needs of the few."

NEELIX: "Or the one."

PARIS: "I guess I was right when I thought Starfleet was just a bunch of hypocrites."

Harry says nothing, he just hits her with that disillusioned, shattered innocence, "I just discovered that my childhood hero was actually a major scumbag" look on his face. Exasperated, Janeway turns back to Q.

JANEWAY: "All right, already!"

She sticks out her pointer finger at Q. Q does the same. They bump digits, with everyone watching. Sparks flash between them. Then Q disappears. In a flash of light, Earth appears on the viewscreen.

NEELIX: "That was it?"

JANEWAY: "That was it."

Voyager zooms off past the Golden Gate bridge amid fireworks...

A lot of Prodigy deals with the Delta Quadrant. Also, Picard met the Hirogen at some point.
wat

The Doctor described how how many genders 8472 has, and that their coitus is complicated, which means he probably has documents on their reproductive cycle/methods, and if anything is uploaded onto the holodeck, it is transjiggered into pornography fairly quickly.

For example Species 8472 appears to have as many as five sexes. Bystanders better keep their distance. (VOY: "Someone to Watch Over Me")

Well, 8472 probably found our conjugal customs odd as well. Though they seemed to master kissing easily enough.

If you liked my prior post about Q, the story has 10 other endings...

Yikes... don't see THAT getting past the censors.

I just read those other endings. :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

Could have even added this, since UPN was apparently keen on having a band on ENT every week.

Q: "So what do you say? You could be the mother of peace for the Q Continuum. And I will send Voyager home in return."

Janeway: "No. I won't do that."

Q: "So let me see if I understand you correctly. You'll violate a sovereign power's territory, you'll set loose the Vaadwaur, and you'll make a deal with the Borg, all in the name of getting your crew home... but you won't have a child with me?"

Janeway: "That's right. I believe I have someone on my crew who can explain it better than I can. Ensign Loaf."

(music starts)
Ensign Meat Loaf: (sings)
"I would do anything to get home
I'd run right into hell and back

I would do anything to get home
I'd break a vow and make a pact

Oh, I would do anything to get home
But I won't do THAT
No, I won't do...
That"

Just think...

There is someone - somewhere - whose only exposure to Star Trek: Voyager are those snippets of corrupted history in "Living Witness" (maybe they stopped on that particular episode at random during one late night); to them, Janeway is that ruthless all the time. Hell, they may have even given up on watching more of Voyager because they weren't interested in such a bleak television show.

True. There's also probably someone somewhere whose only exposure was "Spirit Folk". Inagine what they think!

Or worse... "FALSE PROFITS". You have multiple bad tropes rolled into one episode.

1. Failed attempt to get home.
2. Inept starship security.
3. A pair of Ferengi outwitting a Starfleet crew.
4. Backward civilization being taken advantage of.

Or worst of all, "Threshold"! The mind boggles.

Original Trek got pretty absurd sometimes with Nazi planets and people in black/white face. But Kirk never engaged in salamander sex.
