What was the first ST movie you ever saw in theaters?

HarryCanyon1982

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
For me, i was IV when i was 4 years old when i lived in St Louis and saw it 3 times, ST II with ST the animated show on Nick and this is what made me a ST fan.

TMP during it's initial release. Saw it 12 times, 2 more than Star Wars. Was VERY proud of myself.:)

TMP opening night. The movie wasn't showing in Bellingham, Washington, where I was living at the time, so pretty much my entire college science fiction club took a road trip to Everett to catch it on opening night.

By the time,Khan opened a few years later, Bellingham had finally gotten a multiplex so we didn't have to drive to another city to see it!

TMP - on the Saturday of its opening weekend. It was freezing cold, so instead of having the audience line up around the block they crammed a couple hundred folks into the lobby.

Generations, when it was first released. Saw it when I was 6 years old. I remember not liking it because they'd killed off my childhood hero.

The first one I attended was 2 but I was too small to remember, first one I remember is 4, I fell asleep ;)

My parents saw TMP the night before it opened because they knew some guy at the theater.

FC.

This place always makes me feel like a baby.

But yeah, I saw it at a drive-in movie theater, although I was 8 at the time so I didn't exactly drive in. Went with my friend and her family; we had a good time of it. I recall the audience reception being really strong. Hundreds of people were parked up-close to see that flick, and they all had seemed to love it.

TWOK. I was 6. My dad took me to see it, and I can still remember it like it was yesterday. I was already a fan of TOS at that young age, and had seen TMP the night it appeared on HBO.

From TMP on I always saw them at the theater first. Mainly because I am the biggest Trek fan in my family, and they felt obligated to make certain I was able to see them as they came out. Being the youngest, I rarely got this kind of acquiescence to my desires, so I lucked out here.

TWOK - was too young to fully appreciate it but i remember being scared of the madman Khan and the ear bugs (TWOK is almost like an R rated movie today) also remember thinking the whirlpool thing in the nebula was The Black Hole which id seen recently :D

TMP opening weekend. I was 10 years old. To this day, TMP remains the Trek film I have most repeatedly watched.

TMP, opening week, when I was 11-12 years old.

I hadn't seen tons of TOS by then, so the 2001-ness of TMP wasn't a big deal to me.
