Spoilers The new (massive spoiler) ship!

If the focus isn't on the Enterprise, then why is it relevant which Enterprise they use?

Exactly. They could have shown the Enterprise-E and it wouldn’t have made any difference to the plot of the story. I personally just wanted to see the Enterprise-F as a new design because that’s me, and this would be the most logical time to see something like that. But I didn’t get what I wanted. These showrunners don’t care about what I care about. It is what it is.

Is there some kind of copyright/trademark issue at play here? Some legal reason why PIC couldn't use the Enterprise-E?

(DS9, for example, suspiciously never showed any Sovereign-class ship...not even in the most heated battle scenes... :shifty: )

To my knowledge, no. They used the Sovereign design in season 2, so there would be no reason why they couldn’t use it to depict the Enterprise.

As for DS9, they didn’t want to show a Sovereign because they thought the audience would think it was the Enterprise-E. Like that was some huge problem or something.

That would depend on your point of view.

Who else would own the rights now? Is this a YT video script?

You never know. Copyright/trademark law is a tricky beast.
I mean, yes, but they also recently used the Sovereign in Picard Season 2. Did the rights suddenly shift?
Okay, now you lost me.
It reads like a Youtube video conspiracy theory style idea. That somehow the rights holders have lost the rights to one aspect of their IP. Which just strikes me as a bit odd, unless I missed a piece of news.

Picard had Sovereigns in season 2, so no.

No, because we saw a model of of the Enterprise-E in Season 1, and there were Sovereign Classes in the Season 2 fleet.

I have a feeling the Enterprise-F won't have any major importance to the season, considering they didn't even increase the quality of the STO model for its appearance according to the VFX Supervisor.

It's probably just a glorified cameo.

I am surprised we're getting an Enterprise at all. Possibly only present because nostalgic feels, part of this crew to be present.

I expect ships named Enterprise always being the Hero ship may be coming to a close, or at least greatly reduced importance.

I am fine with it if true, they had their time in the sun.

We might see her on her maiden voyage in the first episode and then as part of the cavalry in the finale similarly to the Enterprise in Discovery S2?

I would rather we didn’t see the Enterprise at all if all they planned to show of it was a five second flyby of a low-poly video game ship (And spoil it six months before the show even starts.)

Didn't they mention that all three Enterprises were going to be seen? If the Enterprise D wasn't salvage? It would explained the last part of the trailer. That if importing items were forgotten and left behind?

It's quite possible the final graphics rendering isn't complete and that's just a placeholder.
