Spoilers The Acolyte

It beat out TFA's trailer? That's honestly surprising, though possibly just an indicator of just how much the audience has grown in the last decade!

But that can't be right, can it? I mean as we all know everyone is suffering from Star Wars fatigue, the franchise is dead and Lucasfilm have totally blow it, and everyone at the management level just got fired by Disney again for the 82nd time this year, for realsies this time!

Definitely. In fact, my video with one like demonstrates this to be true.

Anecdotally:
of the few long-term friends from my generation that I'm still in touch with IRL, the only one who still appears to care at all about SW is my brother.

I remember watching videos on philosophytube back in the day during Thorn's pre transition days. Then i watched Abigail's coming out as trans video and it was quite powerful to say the least. I am looking forward to watching Abigail Thorn in The Acolyte.

I wonder if this will contain any spoilers for The Eye of Darkness (and less so for Midnight Horizon which I am reading now, or Defy the Storm which just came out), since it's very unlikely I would have finished - or even begun - reading it by the time the series comes out.

In particular, I was wondering if the nameless might be mentioned (or even appear) in the series, after The Eye of Darkness reveals more details. The Phase II of the novels seems to imply the nameless
are creatures native to a planet where, um, the Force is incredibly present (as I cannot imagine it being special in any other way) and are in terrible pain away from it, somehow, and are hurting Jedi as a side-effect of that. But the books ended before anything of such nature was revealed.
I guess it's very unlikely that a contrary revelation is both in the show and the book, but I still wonder.

I would doubt it, save maybe in the broadest sense. There's something like a century between the novels and where this should kick off.

Leaving aside the fact that this wasn't conceived as part of the High Republic publishing initiative, but independently pitched; there's no way they're going to spoil an ongoing series in another ongoing series. That'd be dumb and bad for business.

There's a character in the show from the High Republic books, so there is some collaboration.
