Spoilers The Acolyte

I do know most Star Wars fan decided to ignore the series by the time the last episode was streamed.
Watching two-hour videos ranting about the horribleness of the series is not ignoring it. Giving it more user reviews than all other Disney+ SW series is not ignoring it. The one thing this series has definitely done, for good or ill, is gotten noticed.

Mae believing Osha was dead was also never suitably explained. Furthermore Sol said he needed to explain something to Mae when Mae was tied up, but other than telling Mae that her mother's death was an accident it's not clear what Sol wanted to explain (and even then Sol never said even that)

Acolyte is one of my favourite Star Wars series - that and Ahsoka (although I have a bad feeling about where Ahsoka S2 is heading).

I can't say I care overmuch for most of the others.

I called the "bleeding lightsaber" business as nonsense literally when the Ahsoka novel came out. LFL completely changed their stance on this, saying "Lightsabers are not mood rings" when some casual fans in ROTS asked why Anakin's lightsaber didn't turn red. Now suddenly they turn red if a darksider happens to be touching the crystal (never mind that again such a damaged lightsaber with a crystal sticking out shouldn't even work). Suddenly lightsabers are mood rings.

ALSO, the retcon drastically alters everything. If kyber crystals are mood rings that can bleed red JUST BY BEING HELD, why don't they use that as a dark side test?

Mace: Anakin, we're concerned because while you were protecting Senator Amidala, you detoured to Tatooine, we heard your mother died, and Yoda sensed something horrible happened.

Anakin: It was nothing, I was just upset at how she died.

Mace: Hold this kyber crystal.

Anakin: Sure. Hey, what--it's turning red! Wait I can expl--

Mace: Get outta here, dark side scum.

(also)

Mace: Chancellor Palpatine, the Jedi Order would like to present you this gift of a kyber crystal. You know how valuable these are. Here, why don't you take it right now.

Palpatine: I will always cherish this gift from my dear friends in the Je--what? It's turning red! You--you....

Yoda: Found our Sith Lord, we have.

Just finished the last ep. Except for showing us how corrupt and flawed the Jedi of the era are, I can't figure out exactly what this show was supposed to be about.

I realize "self-control" is not commonly considered a trait the Dark Side of the Force develops, but I'm pretty sure under 99% of circumstances, a Sith, Dark Jedi, or even an ornery teenager can keep themselves from thinking about the things that make them angriest in the universe and hating as hard as they've ever hated while in the presence of someone who'd react negatively that kind of display.

Like, I'm no Jedi, but I am something of a student of the human condition, and I'm sure that if a Jedi was present when Osha was so incandescent with rage she couldn't restrain herself from crushing her mentor's throat until he was dead at her feet, they might consider that a subtle indication she was emotionally unbalanced and expressing those feelings violently, even if she hadn't happened to be touching a kyber crystal that was bonded to the object of her hatred at the same time.

Sure, maybe Anakin might've bled his crystal unintentionally under some conceivable circumstances, say, if he was fiddling with his saber during the "they're animals, and I slaughtered them like animals" scene, but if Yoda was there, I don't think he would've needed that extra hint that Anakin wasn't processing his grief in a healthy and productive way.
