Strange New Worlds Intro

There are about two episodes of Enterprise that I missed. Maybe 15 percent of Voyager I haven't seen and scads of DS9.

It took me years to finally watch all of Enterprise, only getting around to finishing the third and fourth seasons when I decided to buy the whole series on blu-ray during the pandemic.

That is one beautiful intro.

I've just seen the intro and oh my noodly god I now need this more than I thought I already did. It really feels like a return to classic Trek and I am so in for the ride!

When you see the intro in its context, following the episode teaser, I think you really appreciate it.

Still dont like the music. Every time I try to replay it in my head, the TNG alternate theme comes to mind

The second episode sets up a really cool teaser with a twist and a problem, and when they fade out on that scene and the fanfare comes up under the opening credits and then you get that beat as the ship streaks across the screen it's like "OH WOW!"

I like that this version had no credits (esp the 31 flavors of producers, asst producers, exec producers, etc, etc).

But shouldn't Rebecca Romijn be like #2 or #3 in the credits?

I didn't pay close attention, but since TNG several of the Trek shows have had a couple of top-billed actors and then listed everyone else alphabetically.

Bruce Horak is listed alphabetically in the episode 2 credits, and possibly in the first ep as well. I noticed recently, in watching the pilot for NCIS: Los Angeles (my partner is a big fan) that Linda Hunt only became regular cast in episode two of the series - she's listed as "Special Guest Star" in the pilot. If Horak was ever just a recurring character, that changed quickly. Same, I suppose, as with Michael Dorn.
