Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

How it started versus how it will end.

So we have almost zero info on what the final two episodes are. All the press images given out shortly before season 3 aired were only from episodes 1-8

maybe those shots of Batel and Pike in front of the portal in the trailer could be from one of them. There’s also a shot of the Enterprise and Farragut firing on a planet, which I think is connected to the portal shot, as we see red beams coming from the sky in the portal shot

Future Guy is an incarnation of Pike who's STILL trying to change the timeline to one that doesn't lead to a bad future or him or Spock being crippled. He stayed alive from 28th century technology due to factions from that time guessing correctly that Pike was a Federationer who could be corrupted to their cause due to the horrific state that serving the Federation left him in.

Future Guy also looked into destroying the Prime timeline in favor of the Kelvin timeline but wasn't impressed that in that timeline he (Pike), while not crippled, ended up dying early like a punk from Khan.

I'm going to guess that the final episode will feel very much like a series finale, if they weren't sure that they were getting a 5th season when they were filming it.

First season is still tops for me. Hemmer ftw!

I really don't like Carol Kane's character. Nothing special about yet another thousands-year old new species. And her voice is grating as hell.
I love the idea of Kane's character. However, they haven't really found how to use her effectively yet. So, that's been a bit of a disappointment for me but I don't have anything against the character herself.

Would you accept Archer in drag astride the helm console on the Enterprise crew's Fleet-famous Rocky Horror nights?

They've been known to attract even the most stolid Vulcans from halfway across the quadrant.
Wha...?

which episode was this? A lot of Season 2 was a slog, but I think I'd remember this.

One of these days I want to see someone actually eat one of those food cubes. Two Trek foods I would love to try is those food cubes and Bajoran hasperat.
Apparently the prop hasperat that Ro eats in "Preemptive Strike(TNG)" was a sour cream burrito with food coloring. Hasperat is essentially just a spicy Bajoran burrito in a soft bread wrap, so that feels like the perfect way to make a screen prop of the food.
