First picture I've seen of Shatner where he looks older than late middle age.
For 94, though, that is damn good.
Good article. I think its totally on point. Too many characters in the cast is diluting our time with the original main cast. We dont get much time with number one and getting less time with pike than we should.

In all my years of working in the hospital, I never met any patient over 90 who was fat.

I still think Kirk is the best of the best. Stewart would be second for me. Anson had a great start but now he would be completely at the bottom of all the Captains for me. His role has been diminished imo. Tall sprayed/ toppiked hair doesn't make a good Captain. He needs more presence on screen.
I wonder if Anson requested less screen time. He has indicated in the past that he doesn't like to be overworked. I forget the article but I think it was just after Hell on Wheels ended.
Shatner was still very overweight at the age of 90 and 7 months. When he went up into Space. Wow this article is exactly how I feel....dang...
I was thinking in that picture he looks a little bit plastic. Like a figurine that couldn't quite get the face right.
But then he is mostly seen by us in make up and has probably had botox or something over the years (tastefully to clarify) so that can warp perception.

I'm only a little over half his age and his energy levels always astound me. He's an Energizer Bunny of drive and curiosity.
Yeah. The writer has a point. The show is getting too many characters(guest stars that are staying on too long) and its taking focus off the main cast.
I saw something the other year claiming that "Shatner admits age-related cognitive decline."
The "decline?" - he had a tip-of-the-tongue moment where he couldn't remember the name of a movie.
Fuck man, I started having moments where I couldn't remember the proper name of something at twenty-eight! That's not a sign of dementia, or even age-related decline. It's just your brain getting too full and some neurons getting crossed.
I have worse deer-in-headlights moments than elderly Shatner seems to, at least ones that have been recorded and shown online. Heck, there are times I mumble and ramble and can't remember simple names and details and I'm young enough to be his grandson!
IF I make it to 94 (which is very doubtful); I hope I'd still have the level of energy, intellectual capacity, and still be as ambulatory and good looking as William Shatner is at that age.
I'd be lucky to have his energy when I'm 70.
