One of many reasons a great number of their stories were...
...less than optimal.

This reminds me, I was watching Voyager recently and in that show one of the first new species they meet in the Delta Quadrant (the aliens in "Time and Again") are completely identical to humans. And nobody on Voyager seems to think that to be strange in spite of the distance between Earth and this planet. I guess that "regular human" is basically just the norm in Star Trek. Most aliens add some sort of additional trait (pointy ears, nose ridges, etc) but some keep it classic and just look like homo sapiens.
Aliens who are identical to humans or near identical to humans are extremely common in the Alpha, Beta and Gamma Quadrants, no reason the Delta Quadrant would be any different. This reminds me, I was watching Voyager recently and in that show one of the first new species they meet in the Delta Quadrant (the aliens in "Time and Again") are completely identical to humans. It's not Valentine's Day.Just don't involve Deanna and a holodeck.
It's not Valentine's Day.
Episode 9 is allegedly titled 'Subspace Rhapsody'.... A musical?
Aren't healthy Vidians basically just Generic Forehead Ridge #218?I think we've seen a couple aliens that resemble a healthy Viidians a couple times.
My latest purchased pants and jeans are almost flares. Hang on, babe!At some point huge bell bottoms are going to be the rage once again. I want to live long enough to rock those and unironically.
I have a theory, backed by totally anecdotal evidence, that people pair up with their temperature opposite. My hubby sleeps on top of the covers and I sleep under a blanket.I mean, no? Just ask my wife and I who never line up in terms of temperature and fight over the thermostat. Now do that for a crew of 400+.
I'm sorry your daughters deal with that. It is cruelty. I've been fat my whole life and have a lot of issues with this stuff myself. I'm thankful that there are nice things I like in my size nowadays. Wearing things that fit me - both physically and my taste - is awesome, but still harder (and more expensive) than it should be.Fashion does little but make people anxious, self-loathing, uncomfortable and envious. I find it altogether fatiguing and maddening when feel like their fashion doesn't fit. It's exclusionary and mean spirited.
Boring? I'd take that over the tears of my daughters.
I see what you did there!I prefer Life on Mars.
As long as it's not the show's finale I'm fine with it.
Anson Mount's favourite Trek character is Data, Rebecca's is Riker.
Anson and Rebecca both said in unison, to look out for Episode 9.

Sweet. Babs needs to be a lead in a series because I love the man's work.https://kingka.info/like-bruce-lee-...lls-revealed-by-star-trek-director-hong-nhung
Babs is one of the greatest jiu-jitsu fighters in the world. And we didn’t know that before we hired him!
So apparently SNW folks didn't know Babs was a jiu jitsu black belt before they hired him. Now that they do they'll probably contrive more M'Benga fight scenes every other week now.![]()
