Regardless of Season 3, Season 2 is imminent! I’m starting to feel very excited.
Apparently you're not the only one who thought so, to the point Gilroy was blasted online and he now says he will not be doing anything Andor related at all now period: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/t...ilroy-scabbing-accusations-strike-1235483978/I'm not convinced it's possible to showrun minus the writing. If he isn't scabbing, he's coming dangerously close to doing so.

How nervous are folks about the LDS episode? I think it will either fail super-hard or be the best thing ever and nothing in-between. I'm very curious to know how they will pull it off.
I think Richard was asking about the Crossover episode.I'm not nervous about S4 episodes. Those would have been written and recorded a long time ago. But actor Tawney Newsome is on strike (because she is also a staff writer for Starfleet Academy), and strike rules prohibit her from doing any improvisation when recording dialogue, which would be departure from previous seasons on LD. So the strike will affect production of S5 if it isn't resolved soon.

Indeed.
Perplexing reply there, Sci... :-D
Actually the WGA doesn't cover animated content. Both animated Trek shows can continue production, at least until June 30th, when the SAG/AFTRA contract expires.I'm not nervous about S4 episodes. The WGA does cover some series, like The Simpsons and Family Guy, but most are covered by The Animation Guild.WGA doesn't cover animated content
Out of curiosity how does that work? So if hypothetically Dave Filoni, who writes for both live action and animated Star Wars, ceases work on live action shows and works solely on Animation Guild projects that still benefit Disney, would that still be considered "scabbing" by the WGA?The WGA does cover some series, like The Simpsons and Family Guy, but most are covered by The Animation Guild.
Lower Decks is covered by TAG
I feel like Spock Amok and Elysian Kingdom were trials to see if the humor can get across.
SNW is much more lax than its predecessors, helps that Pike's command is like an evolution of Archer's. Its not rigid or formal.

Didn't she get hired as staff writer for the new Starfleet Academy series? So that makes her WGA. In which case anything she ad-libs might be considered"writing?"Tell that to Tawney Newsome, who tweeted about not being able to improv for LD as long as the WGA strike is ongoing.
but i still think it should have been a lower deck episode not a SNW one
It could also be that LDS IS one of the few exceptions WRT animated content where (like Family Guy) it's staff is WGA, and the production covered under that Union.Didn't she get hired as staff writer for the new Starfleet Academy series?
