Good news.

It's not a "lesser" award, it's the same organization.I first thought it was the actual critics choice awards, but this is a lesser award. the super awards???
SNW did not get nominated for the actual critics choice that was held this year, that is the more prestigious one. Andor is getting nominated for the actual critics choice, PGA, Golden Globes and likely Emmy and with the Mandoloran coming back for season 3 things will get tight,
SNW would need to step up for season 2 in terms of quality, casting, writing and acting, however I doubt a lot will happen and i think season 2 of SNW is where we will begin to see real criticism of the show began to start, Very much like Star Trek Discovery season 1-season 2.
Its a lesser award. it should have gotten an actual critics choice not critics super. if The Batman and Andor can get both, then SNW should be doing the same. The critrics , especially the prestigious ones likley see SNW as CW kind of good not Game of Thrones of Better Call Saul kind of good. I think it is only The Mandalorian they see that way,It's not a "lesser" award, it's the same organization.
At least they realized genre fiction is not judged fairly and created this award.
When did any previous Star Trek series get any high awards? Its a lesser award. it should have gotten an actual critics choice not critics super. if The Batman and Andor can get both, then SNW should be doing the same. The critrics , especially the prestigious ones likley see SNW as CW kind of good not Game of Thrones of Better Call Saul kind of good. I think it is only The Mandalorian they see that way,
anyway season 2 will be the real test for the show, season 1 was been judged by the standard star trek discovery and picard set which was low, however season 2 will be held to a much higher standard so i will expect a harsher critic if they stick to their CW good level writing as they did in season 1.
TNG did. When did any previous Star Trek series get any high awards?
No it didn't. And before you bring up the Emmys, TNG only ever got awards in the meaningless technical categories.TNG did.
To be fair, they weren't meaningless to the people who won them.No it didn't. And before you bring up the Emmys, TNG only ever got awards in the meaningless technical categories.
TNG was nominated for best dramatic series in 1994 (which goes to show that The Academy of Television members weren't really watching the series because season 7 was probably the worst season of TNG since season 1 overall.)TNG did.
TNG was also a break out series and was very popular in the 90s. Maybe the only time trek was more popuplar than star wars. SNW is a show that has little presence on TV and streaming.
There were not too many awards when TOS was airing, however TOS is an iconic legendary show and on many best tv series ever created and a lot of the actors like William Shatner, Nichelle Nichols, George Takei and ofcourse Nimoy became iconic in Hollywood and media.
And I did not mean to diminish the accomplishments of those who win and have won those awards. Nonetheless, the perception still exists that the technical categories are less prestigious than the frontline categories like best actor/actress and the like. Indeed, often times with the Emmys and Oscars the technical categories are often awarded at a separate ceremony which does not get televised. An argument can be made the technical categories are a lesser tier, and thus saying a show has won an Emmy in the technical categories is not the same thing as the show winning one of the "higher awards" as it was put.To be fair, they weren't meaningless to the people who won them.

Nope.. But keep thinking it.Its a lesser award. it should have gotten an actual critics choice not critics super. if The Batman and Andor can get both, then SNW should be doing the same.
