Many fans complain that the corridors aboard these ships should be a lot more crowded. "430 people on a ship with only 23 decks and you see only a handful of them? That doesn't make sense."

Surely 1/3 to 1/2 are asleep at any one time? So that's like ten people per deck, maximum. With more in engineering probably and less in lounges etc.

Best modern era Trek character is hard for me to pick because I really love a lot of them, and my favorite is always changing.

At this moment I’d probably go with a tie between Jett Reno, Admiral Vance, Samanthan Rutherford, Rok-Tahk, and while I’m not there yet, but I’m thinking I’m going to love Hemmer.
