I like how heroic and adventurous the theme is. Not a hint of darkness or melancholy in there.

I really like how the opening monologue is made to sound different to the Shatner and Stewart renditions, with pauses in different places, emphasis on different words. Hearing this alone already makes Mount's Pike seem very different to Kirk.

Love the intro but I'm a little let down by the music because we didn't get a full rendition of the TOS theme. Every time the first half played I was waiting the for second half to follow but it didn't haha. Maybe the music theory nerds can tell me why Russo made that choice.

My guess, and this could be just wishful thinking, is that the second half will be in the closing credits theme.

My guess, and this could be just wishful thinking, is that the second half will be in the closing credits theme.

You know what I'd do? I'd play the TOS S1 credits over the SNW ones, have the SNW outtro shot either snapshots or short clips of the episode, and I'd end it on the classic frame of Vina dancing as an Orion girl.

I like that, but I'd suggest using concept art from the episode, like the Disney+ Star Wars shows do, and follow Vina with a reanimated Desilu logo. But that almost certainly will not happen.
