Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

:ack: :brickwall:  :scream:

If her other ancestors were regular humans, then it's unlikely she would show any abilities noticeably enhanced. However, we don't know the makeup of her other ancestors yet (a hidden enclave of augments?). As for Augments procreating, there's no reason to think they wouldn't. There is the Wrath of Khan baby in the deleted scenes as well.
It would be interesting if her personal story was that she knows she is Khan's descendant, still has enhanced abilities because of it, and is constantly taking great pains to hide it in order to fit in.

Redoing what they did with Bashir in later episodes of DS9...

That's just the lighting.
Yeah, the lighting that creates the shadow in just the right place.

It's a bit more than that though, there's a definite edge that runs around the entire visible saucer.

Granted it could possibly be one of those reverse optical illusions, but as @Serveaux said, we'll just have to wait and see. :techman:

Could They possibly be using something much closer to TOS Enterprise for a different Constitution Class ship?

No, there's a shadow concavity that the central hub blends into, and it flattens out into a ring again at the outer circumference. It's there.

It's easier to see in some of the wireframe displays that they fill so much space with on the bridge. Those displays match the current model (unlike those used early on IN STD).

Everything edge etc. lighted on the bridge looks very dance-friendly, but not eye-friendly if you work there for an 8-hour shift.
