Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

An unfortunate lapse in her reeducation after Nomad's memory wipe.

Were TUC set during the TOS Era it'd be easier to believe Uhura doesn't know Klingon since the Federation and the Empire hadn't had that much continuous contact in the century since the Augment Virus struck but by 2293 she should know at least enough Klingon to not have to use a book as she translates.

Canon now. The Leondegrance, whose historical milestones were on display at Starfleet Academy in the season premiere of PIC.
Technically a spoiler here, but not a story-significant one.

And a large rubber duck near the main computer core.
Which is canon, they mentioned it on Lower Decks.

With the Uhura focus on this trailer ‪‪I wonder if they won’t be releasing similar character-based teasers for other cast members in the next few days.

That was fast.

La’an Noonien Singh
teaser.

Looks like we are getting character teasers over the next few days. Maybe full trailer on April 5th?

At their current rate of 2 a day, ‪‪I think they may be caught up by Friday (Pike, Spock, Number One, M’Benga, Chapel & Ortegas?)

We could be getting a full trailer ahead of the convention, with there likely being a screening of the first episode at the event itself.

So La’an is the security chief, and a survivor.

‪‪I’m generally very excited for the series, and the inclusion of a Khan relative is the one thing that really gives me pause.

I’m curious to see how they use the character, and how her story unfolds, but it’s with caution, and a generally weary attitude, with the way so many untold chapters and prequels mire a storyline or mythos with unnecessary interconnectedness and an almost incestuous need to reference the most often recalled elements of a franchise.

yeah, it’s the only real “caution” light I see.

The SNW shuttlecraft even has the circular, globe-like viewer on the rotating wall arm, like the TOS design had for the pilot and co-pilot.

How big is the new shuttle. That one shot of Spock and Kahn makes it look as big or bigger than a runabout.
