A Klingon?

Seth MacFarlane had hardly acted in anything when he appeared in Enterprise (he was mostly known as a writer).
Eh? I grant you when he did his Enterprise episodes MacFarlane was noted more for being a voice actor than a live action actor since Enterprise was only his second live action role, but he had plenty of voice acting under his belt. Indeed, his Enterprise appearances were during the three year gap between Family Guy's third and fourth seasons, and IMDB lists ten other shows he'd done voice roles on in that time, so he hadn't "hardly acted in anything."

The original post was arguing that "big name" guest stars have appeared on Trek before, and showed nine people who qualified as "big names" today. 20 years ago, however, none of them were big names except for Kelsey Grammer. I watched Family Guy back then, but I would have hardly called Seth MacFarlane a "big name" in the very early 2000s.

Jemison- First black woman is space.
Piscopo- One of the breakout stars of the popular long running TV show Saturday Night Live.
Morello- Member of the popular band Rage Against the Machine. Platinum and Gold albums
Pop- Iconic rock star with a discography dating back to the 1960s.
Slater- Rising star with several hit films by the time of STVI.
Johnson- WWF champion
Hawking- Award winning scientist and author. One of the most well known scientists in the world.
MacFarlane- At the time of his ENT appearance he had been nominated for and won Emmy Awards for his popular TV show, Family Guy.

I think those are "big" enough

I really hope we are actually getting a pre-Disco looking Klingon on the series.

I get why people would feel that the Klingons are overused, counting Worf and B'Elanna they're in something like 60% of all Star Trek stories, but they're one of the major neighbouring empires so it'd be a bit weird if they didn't keep showing up from time to time.

Given the timeframe it would be odd if they didn't.
