Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

May can't come soon enough, so I can get SNW episodes and news without shifting trough pages of off topic and starship-prn debates... Hope the mods open the SNW subforum a couple of days prior at least.

The Enterprise bridge in DSC Season 2 looked so much better in promo shots than in the final episodes. The Final episodes look like they slapped a blue filter on it. Thankfully it doesn't look like they've done that for SNW

I like what I've seen from the (leaked) SNW character/scene photos.

Hope also that they don't use the "blue" filter as it looks kinda retro without it and you can actually see more of the details and designs!

Is the Starfleet Delta-Badge on Uhura with the square behind it the new default?

Wonder when Paramount decides to release the trailer that was apparently shown at the investors day.

No, it’s the cadet variation, and the same as Tilly’s in DSC S01. The other crew members have the same style deltas as the Enterprise crew in DSC S02, plain deltas with no backing and their division symbol in the center.

You can see examples of the standard style delta on Pike and Ortegas ‪‪in these screengrabs from the quoted post below.

Honestly, the color is the more important part.

The Split & Angled Pylon along with lower neck is fine as a intermediate variant.

But they really need to use the colors of the TOS enterprise and get rid of the aztec-ing texture.

That wasn't a thing during the TOS era, it needs to be that beautiful enamel or Egg Shell white that we all know/love.

It doesn't make sense to eliminate the plating at this point. They just need to do it better. It's a tricky thing to get right.

Still not of a fan of the recent trend for a ship to come to a dead stop the moment it drops out of warp instead of gliding forward until it stops but at least the warp jump itself is like the 1987-2005 Era of the franchise.

Well, if a ship pauses before going to warp there's not much reason for inertial motion coming out of it. Especially if they're making a point of the impulse engines being powered down during warp.
