Interesting title for the finale. It's one of very few bits of the original opening monologue not used as a title for something:

Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to seek out new life and new civilizations, to explore strange new worlds, to boldly go where no man has gone before.

I hope not. Ending on an episode named after a phrase from the opening monologue hasn't worked out great so far.

I think we all have some kind of weird PTSD from "These Are The Voyages" - a similar kind of title originating from Kirk's opening monologue, associated with series "finality" and... other bad things.

Hey, for a guy who didn't like season 2, I reckon I was being fairly positive!

I didn't say any of the episodes would be bad, I just said one would be worse. Which is entirely subjective I know, but certain episodes tend to fall to the bottom of people's rankings.

I hate to say it, but thanks to the strike and the long wait between seasons, it's seriously dampened my enthusiasm for the upcoming episodes. I might just wait until the first reviews are in to decide whether or not to reactivate my subscription to Paramount+.​

I think we all have some kind of weird PTSD from "These Are The Voyages" - a similar kind of title originating from Kirk's opening monologue, associated with series "finality" and... other bad things.

It'll turn out this show was just one of Tom and Harry's holodeck programs.

They may have been hedging their bets. Yes ST:SNW got it's S4 renewal order during S3 production; but at the time the writing room did the season 3 overview/outline of what stories/where, they didn't know they were greenlit for S4.

(Of course, like a few here, I too am reading a lot into that S3 Ep. 10 title. )

That can't happen at the end of season 3 because Mount is still in Toronto filming season 4.
