Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

Uhura is also also not wearing the skirt uniform she wore in the first two seasons

Though they have shown that officers can choose what they want, Una has worn both

Edit: Ah wait I found an image of her wearing the standard uniform in a previous season, so she has worn both already

Is it me, or do the displays seem more colourful?
The displays no, but those things at the very top have more colours

Compare to Season 2

And the rectangular indicator lights above Uhura's station look brighter. For most of Seasons 1 and 2 they were largely orangeish and yellow in color, sort of defeating the purpose of replicating the blinky indicator lights of TOS. Honestly, they also need to blink. These are just static backlit rectangles of color. TOS used higher tech than SNW in this one respect.

That said, the bridge does look brighter and more cheerful and definitely feels more like it's headed in the direction of TOS!

In Discovery they were also colourful, so they kinda just went back to how it was there

The sets have always been well lit in BTS photos, it must be something they do in post-production to darken the shots, or maybe it's the filming cameras themselves.

Going through screen caps on TrekCore, looks like they first switched to the colourful ones in 2x10, which is interesting.

So we'll probably see them all through Season 3 as well, I can see them in the episode 1 preview they released a while back.

Her hair looks fine but soon we are going to need to start getting some 60's looking haircuts for the sake of canon! We know the Federation is soon to go on a big retro kick. Even convince most aliens to go along with it as well.

Getting all TOS up in there!
It would be fun if the show shot one episode mimicking the cinematography style of TOS, but either never commenting on it, or making it the result of another space anomaly, just to break peoples' brains again.

Don't challenge James Kirk. He'll try to.
